What Is American Horror Story Season 10 Part 1 About?

American Horror Storyseason 10 part one, subtitled “Red Tide,” is set in Provincetown and also explores the creative process of being a writer. This part of the season is about the Gardner family: Doris (Lily Rabe), Harry (Finn Witrock), and their child Alma (Ryan Kiera Armstrong). They are a sophisticated family from New York City who are staying here for three months so Harry can write a TV pilot. While the 2022Firestarteris one ofthe worst horror remakes, Armstrong does a great job in her role as young Charlie McGee, and she is also solid inAmerican Horror Storyseason 10.

Before long, it’s clear that the family needs to run away, especially when a pale man begins following them and seems to have it out for them. He follows Alma and Doris, which is the first sign that something isn’t right. Later, Harry murders him, and he and his wife and child decide to go home. When Austin Sommers (Evan Peters) gives Harry pills so he can no longer have trouble writing, Harry decides that they should remain in Provincetown.

Macaulay Culkin in season 10 of American Horror Story

American Horror Storyseason 10 part 1 reveals itself as a vampire story in episode 2, “Pale.” This is also when Mickey (Culkin) is introduced as someone who was aware of the danger of these pills from the start and began giving them to people. Whilesome movie vampires don’t drink blood, these pale creatures are attracted to blood, and this desire fuels their every move.

Harry is productive from the pills and begins to crave blood. Harry and Alma, who also takes the pills, turn into violent creatures over the next few episodes. Episode 5, “Gaslight,” is when the season becomes truly dark and intense. After Doris has a baby, she becomes a “pale creature” too and almost murders them, which is terrifying to witness.

At the end of theAmerican Horror Storyseason 10 episode “Gaslight,” Karen (Sarah Paulson) eats Mickey and ends her life. The tragic scene of her walking into the ocean is unforgettable. AfamiliarAmerican Horror Storycast member, Paulson shows up in almost every season of the horror anthology series and since her characters are so distinct from one another, she is always a welcome sight.

In episode 6, “Winter Kills,” Harry thinks that he and Alma need to wean themselves off the pills. Alma doesn’t listen to her father and, ultimately, rebels. When the pale creatures arrive at the home that belongs to Sarah “Belle Noir” Cunningham (Frances Conroy), Austin and Belle die. Ursula, the Chemist (Angelica Ross), and Alma move to Los Angeles. The Chemist isn’t pleased with the danger that results from the other characters bringing the pill to Los Angeles. She wants to take care of Doris’s baby Eli and ensure that nothing bad happens. It’s a logical ending that might not be overly shocking and there are nomemorable plot twists in this TV episode. However, it’s still satisfying.

What Is American Horror Story Season 10 Part 2 About?

Overall, whenranking the seasons ofAmerican Horror Story, Double Feature isn’t the most popular. It does tell two very different and creative stories, though. Part two ofAmerican Horror Storyseason 10 is called “Death Valley” and features five very intense episodes. In episode 7, “Take Me to Your Leader,” UFOs have visited Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1954. At the end of this episode, the main characters Troy Lord (Issac Powell), Jamie Howard (Rachel Hilton), Kendall Carr (Jamie Gerber), and Cal Cambon (Nico Greetham) see a strange light and then realize that they are pregnant.

The season starts off with memorable characters based on real-life figures, including Amelia Earhart and President Dwight D. Eisenhower, played by Lily Rabe and Neal McDonough. Alisha Sopher also plays Marilyn Monroe. This makesAmerican Horror Storyseason 10 part 2 even more compelling since it’s fun to see the show’s take on these famous people.

AsAmerican Horror Storyseason 10 progresses, viewers learn that the government is working with aliens. This is definitely creepy and proves that the aliens are some of the mostmemorableAmerican Horror Storyvillains. Eisenhower explains to President John F. Kennedy (Mike Vogel) in 1963 that the government decided that it would be okay if aliens kidnapped 5,000 people living in the United States each year in order to get technology in return. Eisenhower is then killed before he can do anything about this.

How Does American Horror Story Season 10 Part 2 End?

Episode 9 ofAmerican Horror Storyseason 10, “Blue Moon,” is the most memorable, as Cal gives birth to the alien baby that has been inside of him. It’s hard to top that kind of intense scene. In theAmerican Horror Storyseason 10 finale, “The Future Perfect,” Valiant Thor (Cody Fern) is the leader of the aliens and tells Eisenhower that he could have immortality. Eisenhower says no and dies. Thor is one of thescariestAmerican Horror Storyvillains. Next, his wife Mamie (Sarah Paulson) becomes immortal and shows up in Area 51.

Back in 2021, Cal and Troy have died and the baby who Cal gave birth to is now dangerous and violent. Theta (Angelica Ross) orders for Kendall and Jamie to be murdered once they have had their own babies. It’s clear that the aliens are focused only on making sure that more alien-human hybrid babies are brought into the world. Kendall’s baby is going to grow up to keep having babies because the aliens see something special in her. At the very end of the episode, Theta and Calico have babies who are considered flawless, and Theta murders Mamie.

The aliens inAmerican Horror Storyseason 10 part two aren’t as exciting or compelling asthe best sci-fi horror movie monsters. It’s fair to say that many fans of the horror franchise prefer part one to part two. No matter how viewers feel, though, the ending ofAmerican Horror Storyseason 10 is impressively chilling.
