Plus, despite the obvious armor that a Goblin would have already manufactured, it’s also unclear if Insomniac would choose tohave its Green Goblin be wrapped in tech, a medieval elf aesthetic, or be a hulking monster. Either way, it’ll be quite a while now before fans get to see Insomniac’s inevitable interpretation.

How Green Goblin Could Play in an NRS Marvel Game
If NetherRealm was to put out a Marvel game in that time, it would be incredible to see how Green Goblin would play in a fighting game. Of course, Goblin would have a lot of aerial mobility on his glider, meaning that a character design like Blue Beetle fromInjustice 2or Nitara fromMortal Kombat 1could complement him well.
Goblin would also be quite a zoner, capable of lobbing pumpkin bombs and razor bats at opponents. Goblin’s attacks wouldn’t necessarily be emergent in fighting games, but the character himself is fairly unique in his design and the rarity of his appearance in games could make him a popular choice, especially as an added adversary of Spider-Man.
Then, NetherRealm could potentially give Goblin skins that give him an orange Hobgoblin aesthetic. The possibilities could be endless with such a character, and beating Insomniac to its own take would also help make it an intriguing incarnation beforeMarvel’s Spider-Man 3might unveil its own.
