As such, oneAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsplayer has come up with a ridiculous tool to make crafting items easier.
This isn’t the first time anAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsfan has been driven to take their creative energy into the real world. However, it may be one of the first times a fan hascreated an intricate toolin the real world to help them play the game more efficiently.

Animal Crossing: New Horizonsoffers gamers a number of in-game tools to use to accomplish a variety of goals. However, Redditor jmichael has created a new tool in the real world to make crafting items less of a time sink. The result isn’t afan-madeAnimal Crossingapp, but a bizarre real-life device designed to repeatedly hit the A button on a switch controller. This means that jmichael doesn’t have to wear out their thumbs by constantly hitting the same buttons when they’re trying to craft a large number of the same item.
The post includes a video showcasing the device in action, demonstrating both how the tool looks when it’s working and how effective it is in the game. In the clip, the tool appears to take the form of a circuit board, a clip of some sort that attaches to a flat block of wood, and small arms that hold a long, cylindrical object that resembles a pen. Withthe Switch controller positioned properlyon the block of wood, the cylinder is quickly tilted back and forth to hit the A button over and over.
As of writing, it appears that other fans have mixed feelings about jmichael’s creation. One user noted that the device uses the same logic as Homer Simpson’s drinking bird. Jmichael confirmed that the novelty construct was on their mind when they were creating their tool, which uses a similar motion. A second user noted that acontroller with a turbo buttoncould accomplish the same task with fewer moving parts. They went on to say that their controller had multiple turbo modes, allowing them to set the button to turbo as long as they weren’t pressing it. This mode is apparently very good for farming star pieces. Regardless, the fan’s creation is certainly intriguing.
