Heirlooms are the rarest cosmetic items inApex Legends. For most free-to-play players, they take a long time to acquire, and for players that prefer to spend, they cost a lot of money. In essence, everyApex Legendsplayer is guaranteed a set of Heirloom Shards in their first five hundred Apex Packs. Sometimes, players that are lucky will get them in their first ten Apex Packs. InApex Legends, Heirlooms are unique items that are specific to each legend in the game. As of Season 14, there are fifteen legends with heirloom items.

Every heirloom is unique to its legend only. Players can either craft these using heirloom shards or buy/acquire every item during a collection event for a new heirloom. Each Heirloom item features unique animations, character lore, and interactions.

15Bangalore: Cold Steel

Bangalore’s heirloom is quite generic and boring. Many players find it underwhelming because it just is. It’s a knife with a burnt edge. There’s not much substance to it other than the fact that it’s got a sheath.

It has some generic inspect animations like spinning, sheathing, and unsheathing. It’s kind of satisfying using a melee attack with the knife.

Apex Legends Wraith Heirloom Kunai

14Wraith: Kunai

This was the very first heirloom item added toApex Legends. During the early seasons, Wraith featured a running animation like Ninjas fromNaruto. So, naturally, the developers decided to give Wraith a weapon that a Ninja would use. A kunai, to be precise.

This isn’t a very fancy heirloom compared to newer ones, but players loved it back when it was added to the game.

Apex Legends Gibraltar Heirloom War Club

13Gibraltar: War Club

Another one of these generic weapon-themed heirlooms. The War Club is an axe that refers to Gibraltar’s indigenous background. In the context of the game’s diversity and Gibraltar’s lore, it’s a pretty interesting choice for an heirloom item, but it looks generic.

In one of the animations, Gibraltar performs a tribal dance in first-person while the intensity of the flame at the edge of the axe increases.

Apex Legends Lifeline Heirloom Shock Sticks

12Lifeline: Shock Sticks

Another one of the heirlooms to get added to the game during the earlier seasons is Lifeline’s Shock Sticks. They’re quite interesting compared to the knives, daggers, and axes that got repetitive. Lifeline’s lore refers to her as a drummer for a band she was a part of, and these shock sticks are basically the drumsticks she used.

They’ve got someinteresting animations, and in addition to Pathfinder’s boxing gloves are the only other dual-wielded heirloom in the game.

11Bloodhound: Raven’s Bite

Bloodhound’s heirloom is a beautiful hatchet with significance to the character’s lore. The Raven’s Bite is a hatchet with a gorgeous engraving of a Raven at the edge of its hilt. It was given to Bloodhound by their uncle so that they could complete a rite of passage and get accepted into their tribe.

The Raven’s Bite has some pretty cool animations. Bloodhound also nuzzles the engraving while inspecting the heirloom, in a neat touch that emphasizes their love for Ravens.

10Pathfinder: Boxing Gloves

Pathfinder’s heirloom is perfect, considering the character’s theme. He’s essentially a friendly MRVN from Titanfall that was programmed and trained as a skilled fighter. His heirloom is a pair of boxing gloves with screens on them. It was added when the Memoir Noir lore trailer was released.

Pathfinder’s gloves have some hilarious animations and interactions. Players can visually see comic book effects on the glove screens with words like “Pow” appearing when they melee someone.

9Wattson: Energy Reader

Wattson’s heirloom is quite interesting. On the one hand, it’s got some of the best animations out of all heirlooms, such as one where she pulls out a Nessie plushie and hugs it; her heirloom also gets a unique door-smash animation. On the other hand, the heirloom itself looks like a price checker.

A lot of detail has gone into designing this heirloom and players that have it will be able to notice these when they use it.

8Mirage: Too Much Witt

This one is easily one of the more unique heirlooms in the game. While every other legend gets a tool or a weapon, Mirage gets a golden statue of himself - this is very much in tune with his character, where he appears self-absorbed and in love with himself on the exterior but is actually very insecure.

The heirloom features a very rare animation where Mirage eats some pork chops out of a bowl, in reference to his pork-chop jokes.

7Octane: Butterfly Knife

Octane’s heirloom is one of the earlier heirlooms to be added to the game and yet, among the best ones out there. It’s a unique knife that looks like a pair of scissors with a test tube of sorts in the middle. It’s likely that this test tube contains the same liquid Octane uses to activate his tactical ability, a stim that makes him run faster.

Octane is a legend that relies heavily on movement and speed. So, an heirloom like this, with its clean and fluid animations, is perfect for him.

6Rampart: Problem Solver

Rampart, as a character, is all about invention and tools, so it would be pretty obvious that her heirloom should be a wrench. Rampart’s heirloom defines her character perfectly, right from its interestingly witty name, Problem Solver, to its animations and interactions.

Every inventor loves their tools, and Rampart will randomly kiss her wrench, as a response to which it makes some cute sounds and an emoticon.
