Spider-Man: Miles Moraleshas been out for over a year now, but a month before the game even released, a concept artist went viral for their custom controller concept. Now, that concept has become a reality, with theSpider-Man: Miles Moralesfan collaborating with another artist to make a functional version of the controller.
Spotlighted by the website Lets Go Digital, the controller quickly took the internet by storm due to how well it captured the game it was based on. The concept was created by artist and YouTuber Snoreyn, real name Giuseppe Spinelli. While it was met with many lovely comments fromSpider-Man fansfrom all around the world, it was noticed by another Italian artist named Enrico Bertagnoli, also known as Berta. Berta is a talented airbrush artist, and after falling in love with the design, the two worked together to make it more than a concept.

After plenty of time and effort, the project was completed, and two trailers from the artists and Lets Go Digital have since been released. Both trailers showcase the beauty of Snoreyn’s concept and Berta’s airbrushing, as the controller is full of intricate details that help make it special. Snoreyn’s trailer is a great dive into the behind-the-scenes creation of the controller, as players get to see everything from the hand-drawn concept to the buttons being placed on theDualSenseitself.
The first thing thatSpider-Man: Miles Moralesplayerswill notice is the game’s tagline, as the “Be Yourself” text covers the controller’s touchpad. Each of the PlayStation buttons has been given a makeover, with the sacred symbols and PlayStation button colored red. The front of the controller is covered entirely in red webbing like Miles’ suit, and on the back of the controller, a large spider symbol can be seen - showing that nearly every part of the DualSense was customized in some way.
If the trailer from Snoreyn was not enough, gamers can check out Berta’s footage. Berta’s video provides more looks at the controller instead of focusing on the behind-the-scenes process, with players getting to see the custom DualSense under some different lighting. A plaque is even shown for the controller, showing how proud the artists were of their collaboration. While it is sadly not possibly to buy one of these controllers, as the project is not an official partnership withInsomniac Gamesor Sony, fans will always have these trailers that showcase the fully realized concept.
While fans have shared some awesomecustom controllers based onMarvel’s Spider-Man, it is tough to match the quality of this design and the effort required to bring it to life. Given how well the controller turned out, Snoreyn and Berta deserve all the praise that has been coming their way.
