Now, anotherAvatargame is set to join the fray, but even that seems like it should be a lot better than it is.

Since its inception, theAvatar: The Last Airbenderseries has been very popular. Viewers were enthralled by Aang’s journey to become the Avatar in the original series, and they came back in droves to watch Korra guide the world into the future. The YA novels, graphic novels, andupcomingAvataranimated filmsare expanding this universe even further. This makes it a great time to be a fan of this franchise, and also the perfect time for a new series of video games set within this world.
Avatarhas never had the best luck with video games, but there is a chance thatAvatar The Last Airbender: Quest for Balancechanges all that. The game will put players in control of nine different characters fromThe Last Airbenderin a brand-new action-adventure experience. They will be able to experience Aang’s incredible journey in single-player or co-op and will have all the elements at their disposal. While it sounds promising, the reveal trailer made it look a bit lackluster.

The graphics look alright, the gameplay looks rigid, and most of the character models look lifeless. It just does not seem like the game had a massive budget, and it looks like just anotherfun but forgettable GameMill Entertainment Nickelodeon title. It will likely be enjoyable for diehard fans, but the franchise deserves something more.
The world ofAvatar: The Last Airbenderseems tailor-made for a franchise of action-adventure or RPG games. Players could take control of the Avatar or a random bender and embark on an incredible journey throughout this world. While it would be great toexperience the story of Aang or Korra, crafting a new adventure within the world would be even better. There are so many stories waiting to be told, and video games would be the best place to tell them.
IfAvatar The Last Airbender: Quest for Balanceis successful, then the studio needs to greenlightall sorts of newAvatarvideo games. This should not be the only game fans get to enjoy, and future games deserve larger budgets so that they can be the best experience possible. The franchise is long overdue for a series of games that finally do it justice, and the upcoming onslaught ofAvatarcontent makes it the perfect time to finally deliver on that potential.
