The fact that FIFA 23 is the last title in the series to use the FIFA moniker is something of note, even if most people would argue that the gameplay has remained largely identical even if the names have changed. There are many teams with varying star ratings that players can control in Online Seasons for a fresh change of pace from the usual loop of UItimate Team, with some teams being better than others. A few of those teams have been added to this list in this update.
Best Four-Star Teams
FC Porto
FC Portois the team to beat in Liga Portugal along with Benfica and Sporting CP, with this team boasting a tough squad every year that challenges for silverware without fail. The team boasts young talents and established legends, with this mix of experience and youth making them a tough squad to deal with every single time.
Players can use the wealth of notable players on FC Porto to make things tough for their opposition in Online Seasons. It takes a bit of practice to get used to the squad quality of FC Porto, but players who put in the effort will be wiping out the opposition in no time.
Schalke
Schalkeis one of the biggest teams in the Bundesliga, featuring a wealth of talent that makes them pretty entertaining to control. While it’s true that the German league is mostly dominated by Bayern Munich, Schalke has still managed to remain fairly relevant as one of the bigger teams in the league.
The team definitely has a ton of potential, although players who aren’t used to controlling weaker players may suffer in some aspects. Regardless, players who decide to give this team a chance will be surprised by how much fun they are to control despite the lack of any recognizable names.
Espanyol
Espanyolis one of the many mid-table teams in La Liga who can definitely bring some quality football to the mix when the situation calls for it. While their form varied quite a bit, the team can still pull off some great upsets against tougher opposition if the situation calls for it.
Theteam can be pretty challenging to controlif players expect to control notable names with great stats, but Espanyol can still bring the heat to a game if the player knows how to control them properly. The team is pretty tough in its own right, but there are some weaknesses that players need to account for if they’re serious about controlling this team.
Marseille
Marseillehas long been one of the better French squads and, consequently, is one of the best four-star teams inFIFA 23. They have 79 Attack with 77 Midfield and Defense, making them pretty consistent throughout the squad but most effective in attacking. They certainly don’t have thebest center-backs inFIFA 23, so gamers should be careful when defending.
Marseille is well suited to players who like to involve the full starting 11 and feel confident with lower-rated players who have less dribbling ability.
Everton
Evertonhas been up and down in terms of club quality over the past few years. InFIFA 23,the Merseyside club is one of the highest-rated four-star teams, making them ideal for gamers who like to play without meta teams.
Everton is very capable in attack and has fairly technical players, making them well-suited to attacking-based gamers who like to play a fast-paced game.
Ajax
Ajaxhas seen something of a clear-out of their squad in the previous transfer window, having sold most of their star players such as Gravenberch, Antony, and Mazraoui, to name a few.
That doesn’t mean the club is down and out, however, as Ajax is one of thebest four-star teams onFIFA 23. Players can still expect to be mostly attacking with players such as Haller and Tadic.

Harry Kane may be in Bayern Munich now in 2024, but that shouldn’t stop players from checking just how much of a cheat code this striker is inFIFA 23. Players who get the ball to the attacking half and let Tottenham’s talented forwards lead the way will net a goal more often than not.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
Wolveshave slowly climbed up the ladder to become one of the better clubs in the Premier League, witha combination of good ownership and recruitmenthelping the club out quite a bit. No one can write off Wolves, with the team fighting tooth-and-nail to win every match regardless of their own weaknesses.
They’re a great club to control inFIFA 23, boasting a pretty great midfield along with some decent names in their attack. However, their defense is a bit suspect inFIFA 23, so players should really make their shots count and hold on to the ball as long as possible.
Arsenal
No one expectedArsenalto mount a title charge like they have this season. Mikel Arteta has done a wonderful job of coaching the team and building up a squad that is hungry to finally fight for the league trophy after the longest time.
Arsenal’s great form means that many people may be tempted to use this team inFIFA 23, and understandably so. The entire team is pretty well-rounded, meaning that players will have no shortage of options to choose from while building up an attack and defending against the opposition in the game.
Manchester United
Manchester Unitedhas, unfortunately, seen a decline in recent years, dropping to four-and-a-half stars just like they did inFIFA 21. The team has had some ofFIFA 23’s biggest downgrades. However, while they were an irrelevant five-star team inFIFA 22, they are now a significant four-and-a-half inFIFA 23.
With an 82 Attack, 83 Midfield, and 81 Defense, players who like to control the game with possession-based gameplay may benefit from this squad the most. With Eriksen in midfield, players can get super brave with their over-the-top through balls.
Leverkusen
A bit of a surprise to a lot ofFIFAgamers, butLeverkusenis seeing something of a resurgence. Moving up from a low four-star inFIFA 22to a high four-and-a-half inFIFA 23, players will have fun using this much more improved squad. In fact, the club has had some ofFIFA 23’s highest upgrades.
The squad has 83 Attack compared to 77 Defense, so players will certainly be better-suited to Leverkusen if they tend to be more on the attacking side than the defensive. Nevertheless, Leverkusen can still hold their own if on the back foot and defending.
Juventus
Juventusis finally back in FIFA with a license. but the club has dropped to four-and-a-half-stars. The sales of star players have left Juventus in a weaker position than the team was forFIFA 22, but they’re still a capable squad to use for gamers who don’t want to play five-star games.
With a high attack and midfield with a passable Defense, Juventus still have a bite in them with brilliant pacey wingers who can dribble past defenders and score.

Chelsea
Chelseais nowhere near the heights it reached after winning the Champions League. The change in ownership hasn’t been smooth, with the London Blues becoming a mid-table team that will take quite some time to get their bearings together.
Still, the team inFIFA 23is absolutely stacked with talent. Most of the players in this squad were shipped off later on, so most players would love the opportunity to control Chelsea inFIFA 23and lay waste to their opposition using their wealth of talent.
Liverpool
Liverpoolis a team that has gone through its fair share of ups and downs during their time in the Premier League. The team was mired in mediocrity for the longest time, with their Champions League trophy being one of the few accolades they’d received in the 2000s before Jurgen Klopp took over the side and led them to a Premier League victory after ages.
The team has continued to beone of the best-performing sides in the Premier League, with a few injuries here and there being the only thing that affects the team’s form at times. Featuring a wealth of star-studded talent and young potential, this Liverpool squad continues to wow people with their attractive football, extreme pressing, and a high-risk-high-reward style that makes it clear why so many fans love this team to death.

The teams' defense, midfield, and attack are all solid with a decent goalkeeper in the form of Ederson who is sure to keep players who use City out of too much trouble. It’s one of the strongest teams in the entire game and in the world of soccer as a whole, with its squad depth being absolutely legendary in its own right.
PSG
PSGhas been the best team inFIFAfor a couple of years now, owing to them having Neymar, Mbappe, and Lionel Messi himself all on one team. The club has some of thehighest-ratedFIFA 23players, so it’s no surprise PSG is one of the best squads in the game.
A narrow-formation team that plays very central with lots of one-touch passes in the build-up, PSG suits players who like to play with a quick tempo. The attack of this team is truly sublime and makes it clear why so many people jump at the opportunity to control this team and attempt to score as many flashy goals as possible.
