Burger King’s new promo begins February 1 and will run through March 15. King Jr Meals, the chain’s kid’s meals, will include one of six toys inspired by Nintendo Switch titles. The toys feature signature characters from various Nintendo IP, includingAnimal Crossing: New Horizons, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Super Mario Maker 2, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening,andSplatoon 2.

Beyond the toys included with every King Jr Meal, Burger King is offering customers a chance to win a Nintendo Switch prize pack, which includes a Nintendo Switch console as well as a copy of the highly anticipatedSuper Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury.
Set to release on February 12,Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Furylooks to be what Burger King’s promotion is centered around, also offering a “Super Mario Meal.” From February 8 to February 22, customers who purchase a Super Mario Meal via the BK Mobile App or online at BK.com will be entered to win the prize pack. The meal is a standard offering from the chain, consisting of a Whopper sandwich, small fries, and a small drink. Although Burger King hasn’t made it clear how manySwitchconsoles are up for grabs, the prize pack winners will almost certainly be few and far between. However, every Super Mario Meal does come with a freebie in the form of 100 My Nintendo Platinum Points, which players can redeem for exclusive rewards.

That’s not to mention the various console giveaways multiple chains have hosted over the past several months, showing what an increasingly important demographic the gaming community is.
While the majority of gamers would be glad to get a free console with their burger, there are rumors about the release of an upgraded Nintendo Switch model. However, those worried about winning a soon-to-be-obsolete video game system can rest assured. A recent stakeholder call has all but quashed these theories, as Nintendo’s president has stated the company isn’t preparing toannounce a new Switch modelanytime soon.
