Call of Duty: Modern Warfareplayers are still waiting for a skin which was teased at the beginning of season 3 and has since been absent. The skin in question relates toSimon “Ghost” Riley, but it has a rather notorious connotation among fans of the series.
Season 3 ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfarehas been out for a while now, yet the skin has not made any appearance in game or even been mentioned out of game. There are a couple of reasons this could be, which some fans have been quick to point out in response to questions about the skin.

Despiteseason 3 nearing its end, there is still some time left before it actually closes out, meaning the skin could still make an appearance and likely will at some point. Other skins in the past have debuted near the end of a season, so this wouldn’t be too terribly surprising.
The reason why this skin is so infamous is because of what happened to Ghost when he wore it. Spoilers forModern Warfare 2ahead, but odds are most already know what happens. On the way back to the exfil point, Ghost drags Roach across the battlefield. Upon reaching the chopper, however,Price executes both Ghost and Roachin a brutal fashion before lighting them aflame and leaving. This is the outfit that Ghost wore during that scene, so it is no wonder that it gives players some less than fond memories.
Despite these memories, people are excited about the skin. The second part of the mid season 3 update should be arriving soon, which will more than likely include this skin. In response to a query on Reddit about the missing skin, one user reminds fans that theTalon skin released 10 days before the end of season 2, so the precedent has already been set for a rather late release of a skin. The best thing for fans to do at this point is simply wait, as there isn’t much time left in season 3 as it is.
Still, it is rather strange for this skin to be teased so early only to be seemingly forgotten about. With how excited fans are for it, it would make much more sense to actually keep them in the loop aboutwhen the skin will appear, or at least tease it a few times throughout the season.
