Unfortunately, these classicCall of Dutygames have been difficult for fans to revisit. Besides dwindling multiplayer populations, players have had to deal with hackers ruining matches and more recently, wonky servers that have made it next to impossible to get into a match. Luckily,Activision recently fixed theCall of Dutymultiplayer servers, making it possible for fans to jump back into the classic games.

The player counter is malfunctioning at the moment, so it’s difficult to say just how manyCall of Dutyfans have returned to these old-school games, but it’s enough that players can safely relive the glory days. The downside is that some players have reported input delay when playing on Xbox Series X/S consoles, so mileage may vary. It’s unclear if this issue will get fixed, but with theseCall of Dutygames potentially coming to Xbox Game Pass, one has to imagine that a fix is a distinct possibility.
While it hasn’t officially closed, Microsoft does have the green light to complete its acquisition of Activision Blizzard.NewCall of Dutygames won’t hit Xbox Game Pass on day oneuntil the 2025 entry at the earliest, but the olderCall of Dutytitles could join the lineup much sooner. No timetable has been announced, though so fans should keep their expectations in check when it comes to Activision-published games likeCall of Dutyhitting Game Pass.
