The debut ofCall of Duty: WarzonePacific brought several changes to the battle royale title, and while the community has welcomed some, it has rejected others. One of the most dislikedCall of Duty: Warzonechanges has to do with loadouts, but according to a leaker, it will be partially reverted next Season.
Call of Duty: Warzone’s controversial loadout changesees players being forced to wait to purchase a loadout drop. Specifically, one cannot be bought until the first free drop has landed in Caldera, meaning that players must wait around five minutes to get access to their loadouts. While this does not impact players of average skill level, as they likely cannot get enough money for a loadout in the first five minutes of a match, those who playCall of Duty: Warzonecompetitively are frustrated by the change.

It seems likecomplaints from NICKMERCSand other skilled players were heard by Raven Software, however. In Season 2, those who play in traditional playlists may not have to worry about Raven catering to less-skilled players and slowing matches down with delayed loadout crates. According to the reputable leaker @TheGhostOfHope, Season 2 will see the loadout delay being completely reverted in normal battle royale playlists. This will apply to solos, duos, trios, and quads, ensuring that loadouts go back to how they used to be in the main playlists.
However, @TheGhostOfHope does point out that thepopular Vanguard Royale playlistswill not have their loadout change reverted. As such, players that want to play withVanguard-only gear will need to wait for the first loadout drop to appear naturally before purchasing their own. While some will likely still be frustrated by this decision, it is a good compromise, as fans of the new and old systems for loadouts will have playlists that cater to their individual playstyles.
As for whenCall of Duty: WarzoneSeason 2 will go live, players can expect it to begin on February 14. With it previously being delayed so that a number of bugs in both Caldera andCall of Duty: Vanguardcould be fixed, both games should run more smoothly once the Season begins. Alongside expected content like new weapons, Operators, and a battle pass,a replacement for Rebirth Islandhas been rumored. While it remains to be seen what exactly will be included in Season 2, the Rebirth replacement leak is interesting.
Regardless,Call of Duty: Warzonestreamersshould be pleased to learn that they could soon have an option for the classic loadout drop system. While all leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, the source for this one is credible, meaning that Season 2 could be a good one for players wanting theWarzoneof old.
