Similarly toApex Legends,Call of Duty: Warzoneis a battle royale game that features squads of threes that have to work together if they hope to survive any given match.Call of Duty: Warzonehas a lot of its own ideas and also borrows some features from other battle royale games, likeApex Legends' ping system, but it seems some players wantWarzoneto borrow even more fromApex.

A Reddit post by user septlbadwy on theCall of Duty: Warzonesubreddit suggests thatWarzoneshould borrowApex’s jumpmaster mechanic, where one player chooses where the squad lands and their teammates automatically follow. This would cut back on random players running off on their own, dying early, and potentially costing players theirWarzonematch. It should be noted thatWarzonealready designates a “Squad Leader” at the beginning of matches who could be given this responsibility.

The suggestion has proven popular on theWarzonesubreddit, with the post getting over 1,000 upvotes at the time of this writing. However, ifInfinity Warddecides against adding anything like that, there could be other ways for players to avoid having to deal with random players making bad decisions.

One of the main ways that Infinity Ward could cut back on random players causing trouble is by allowing moreWarzoneteam size options. At the time of this writing,Warzoneonly allows forSolo Play and trios. This means players who play with just one other person will always have to deal with a random player on their squad or start a match with one less player than other teams, which automatically puts them at a big disadvantage when compared to their opponents.

While we don’t know if aWarzonejumpmaster option is ever coming to the game, there is evidence to suggest that moreWarzoneteam size options will be coming sooner rather than later. Dataminers have found evidence thatWarzoneDuos and Quadswill be added to the game in future updates; it’s just a matter of when at this point.

It’s possible that these newWarzoneteam size options could come as soon as the next update.Modern WarfareSeason 3is set to launch on April 8, and it will likely include plenty of new content forWarzoneas well, so fans should stay tuned for more details.

Call of Duty: Warzoneis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
