One of the games that was pitched by Capcom Vancouver, to its Japanese counterpart, was a newDino Crisisgame. It seems thatDino Crisiswas not optioned by Capcomand the game franchise, which still has plenty of fans, may not be coming to players any time soon. Instead, it seems that the game publisher will be focusing on remakes and sequels from theResident Evilfranchise. Not only was a well-known series with a large fan base denied the chance to return, but there were also brand new titles that largely had sci-fi elements that didn’t make the cut.

Capcom Vancouver had also begun developing a game with the code nameBrazil. The game, like many Capcom titles, was a survival shooter with a focus on resource management, yetBrazilwould be set in a huge world that had sci-fi elements. Similarly, a game calledFrontierwas intended to be in the same genre but have gameplay that was more akin toDestiny, before the release of the title by Bungie. Finally, there was an interesting title set in America during the 1970s based uponGhosts n' Goblinsand it would a paranormal shooter that places players in the middle of humans and paranormal creatures. Despite these intriguing titles, it seems thatCapcom has continued to focus on theResident Evilfranchise.

The studio, Capcom Vancouver, was shut down in 2018 and it seems that most of these projects will have ended with the developer. The only game thatCapcomcould foreseeably bring back would beDino Crisis, but at the moment this does not look likely. Nevertheless, fans of the developer and publisher will continue to hope that the company utilizes its vast catalog of licenses so they can enjoy sequels and remakes of some of their favorite games.
