Daredevil: Born Againwill feature a Matt Murdock in tip-top shape. In a social media post shared by his coach, it was revealed that Charlie Cox underwent MMA training as part of his preparations to play Daredevil again in Marvel Studios' new Disney Plus series.
Daredevil: Born Againis Cox’s return to heading a TV show as Matt Murdock. After his last outing inShe-Hulk,whereDaredevil had a memorable fight scene, fans were excited to see the character back in action. His Netflix series was well-known for its choreography and the hallway fight in season 1 quickly became one of the highlights of the show. After a few years away from the role, it had been a while since fans had actually seen Cox’s Daredevil in a fight.

According to an Instagram post, shared by Team KF Martial Arts, Cox’s trainer wrote a heartfelt post that praised the actor for his commitment to training. In a tease ofwhat fans can expect fromDaredevil: Born Again,it looks like Matt Murdock will be incorporating MMA into his fighting style. Cox even went so far as to seek out a coach who specializes in training fighters. “It has been great working with Charlie over the last while, helping him prepare for his next role. I was a little hesitant when I was first asked, as my expertise is being a coach to fighters,” read the caption. “But after meeting Charlie, I quickly realised he wanted to train exactly like a fighter. He returned to the gym after each tough session I put him through and I was blown away by his work ethic and willingness to learn - the same characteristics needed to be an elite fighter.”
“He fit in straight away with the team and his improvement from day one to now has been insane to see. I’m really excited to see some of this come through on the show. Videos of what myself and Charlie have been working on, dropping shortly,” concludes the post. The videos mentioned may be a sign ofwhat’s to come inDaredevil: Born Again.Fans can apparently expect to see Cox training intensely. Cox appears to be insanely committed to the role, absolutely going above and beyond what’s expected of him to give fans the portrayal they’ve come to love.
While theDaredevil: Born Againplot is under wraps, new characters are expected to be involved. Some of these may be some of Daredevil’s villains from the comics, giving him more opportunities to show off his fighting abilities. The fight choreography is certainly one thing fans hope is up to snuff, as it was legendary in theDaredevilNetflix series.
Of course, rumors and expectations should be taken with a grain of salt. After all, a persistent rumor was that Elodie Yung’s Elektra was being recast withEiza Gonzalez taking over the role, but Gonzalez denied having a role inDaredevil: Born Again.Speculation has been absolutely rampant, and the series is one of Marvel Studios' most anticipated.
Daredevil: Born Againis scheduled to premiere on Disney Plus in 2024.
