A Reddit user named DoroboKun, who works as a college professor, shared an example of their test in which they placed some ofGenshin Impactreferences. The words COCO, GOAT, and Gwen Yu all refer to one specific character, the popular Cryo bow user Ganyu. The nickname Cocogoat came from one ofGenshin Impact’s earliest character questsin which Qiqi stated that the Cocogoat is the source of coconut milk. After the game introduced Ganyu with her noticeable goat-like features, the community almost immediately bestowed upon her the nickname Cocogoat.
Ganyu was released way back inGenshin Impact1.2, and she’s been featured on multiple Limited Character Banners since then. Her last banner appearance was back in version 3.6 where she wasplaced alongside the Dendro user Baizhu, who was a new character at the time.
This means that it would not come as a surprise if one of the upcoming banners features this Cryo bow user. Even though she is one of the oldest characters in the game, Ganyu is still considered an S or A-tier DPS character whose playstyle revolves around her unique Charged Attack which deals tons of AoE damage.Genshin Impactplayers usuallyuse Ganyu in two types of compositionthat revolve around the elemental reactions Melt and Frozen.
The Melt party requires players to surround Ganyu with at least two Pyro users which would allow Ganyu to trigger this reaction. The Permafreeze teamis a great choice for players who like to keep their enemies under control as this elemental reaction can completely immobilize a group of enemies.
Genshin Impactis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
