Netflix’sStranger Thingshas proven to be one of the streaming giant’s top shows, becoming a cultural phenomenon in its own right. The incredible popularity ofStranger Thingshas seen it cross over into other mediums, with characters and locations from the show featured inasymmetric multiplayer horror gameDead by Daylight. Unfortunately,Stranger Thingswill soon be making its exit fromDead by Daylightentirely.

This was confirmed by Behaviour Interactive, who explained that theStranger Thingsmap, Hawkins National Laboratory, will be removed fromDead by Daylightstarting November 17. At that point, no one will be able to play on the map, as it’s going to be “sealed off permanently,” according to the game’s developers. On the same day, theStranger Thingscharacters that have been added toDead by Daylightwill be removed from the in-game store, no longer available to purchase.

This meansDead by Daylightsurvivors Nancy Wheeler and Steve Harringtonwill no longer be available to purchase, and neither willDead by Daylightkiller The Demogorgon. But while the Hawkins National Laboratory map is going to be removed permanently, anyone that has purchased theStranger Thingscontent inDead by Daylightwill get to use it after November 17. And to make sure that even more people can get their hands on the DLC, Behaviour Interactive is running a half-off sale on theStranger Thingscontent from August 18 until November 17 at 2pm ET.

Like with any of itsDead by Daylightkillersor survivors, Behaviour Interactive also released a variety of alternate looks for Nancy Wheeler, Steve Harrington, and The Demogorgon. Like the characters themselves, this cosmetic DLC will be available at a 50% discount, letting players complete their collection for a relatively low price. One of the more notable cosmetics is the Scoops Away outfit for Steve, based on his appearance inStranger ThingsSeason 3.

This is an unfortunate reality when dealing with licensed properties, though it seems mostDead by Daylightlicensed contentas remained available to purchase in the game. It’s possible that otherDead by Daylightkillers/survivors/content could potentially be removed down the line, though nothing has been announced. If anything substantial is removed fromDead by Daylight, though, fans can count on Behaviour Interactive to give them a head’s up so they have plenty of time to purchase whatever it is they want.

In the meantime, it seemsDead by Daylightfans will soon have a new licensed killer to look forward to. Behaviour has started teasingDead by DaylightChapter 21, and while the killer’s identity has yet to be revealed, guesses range anywhere fromHellraiser’s Pinhead to the Samara fromThe Ring.

Dead by Daylightis out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, asnd Xbox Series X.
