Supermassive’s strength is in its storytelling and narrative work, so many fans expect that the upcoming title will follow in those footsteps. WhetherSupermassive’s experience with terrifying monsterswill come into play is still an unknown factor, but it should prove interesting.
The Casting of Frank Stoneis set to release in 2024 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Behaviour’s Mathieu Cote was excited to confirm the official details of the previouslyteased new entry in theDead by Daylightfranchise. The upcoming title will be a heart-pounding narrative set in the world ofDead by Daylightsimilar toThe Dark Pictures: Anthology. The player will get to make decisions to shape the game’s story.
The game will be set in the fictional location of Cedar Hills and will include a cast of young friends trying to uncover Frank Stone’s legacy. It is yet unknown whether any of the survivors orkillers fromDead by Daylightwill make an appearance or if all new characters will be introduced. The trailer that came out seemed to show fresh faces but gave the same vibe asDead by Daylight. Interestingly enough, the franchise’s trademark hook was also shown in the video, adding to the feel of the teaser.
While it was also not mentioned, many fans already expect that whichever killer or survivor will be introduced in the game could also debut inDead by Daylightsoon after. WithDead by Daylight’sroad map for 2024, there a lot of dates where the game’s assets can come in. This new collaboration between Supermassive Games and Behaviour Interactive could start more crossovers between the two companies if it succeeds.
