Dead Island 2has several entertaining side quests, including some that poke fun at internet-famous vloggers, content creators, and online behavior in theLike and Followand Clickbait side quests. It’s one of the many waysDead Island 2doesn’t take itself too seriously and capitalizes on its dark humor.

Like and Followis essentially the follow-up toDead Island 2’s Clickbait side quest, where players first meet Amanda Styles, an up-and-coming influencer using Hell-A’s zombie apocalypse to stream content and generate views for her channel. It’s also a fun side quest that sees players complete various ‘content-worthy’ challenges for ‘bestie’ Amanda and her followers. However, it’s easy to get lost on the Pier in Like and Follow, and completing its objectives can be tricky unless players know some of the best strategies.
To start Like and Follow, players must have already reached Santa Monica Pier and defeatedDead Island 2’s Butcho the Clown. Players must also complete the Clickbait side quest for Like and Follow to appear as a blue quest marker on the Pier.
Fast travel to Santa Monica Pier tofind Amanda Styles on top of a building on the Pier. She is standing atop the Pier Stop building with 2 zombies banging on the door below.
Is That Amanda Styles? What’s She Doing Here?
To complete the first objective, defeat the zombies underneath Amanda if not already electrocuted, and talk to her. Amanda explains she needs help getting down, although players might correctly suspect she’s just looking for another filming opportunity.

Amanda Needs An Escape Route! Power On The Dodgems To Draw Out Nearby Zombies
After speaking with Amanda, players need topower up the dodgems. Head inside the nearby red and white building to turn on the dodgem controls on the desk. Head back to the dodgems in front of Amanda and prepare for a wave of zombies.
Use Electricity To Zap The Zombies To Death
While Amanda films, it’s up to players tozap 16 zombies to death to progressthe quest. Fortunately, even if players don’t have an electric weapon, there are broken electricity cables and puddles of water spilled by incoming water carrier zombies. Lure or kick the zombies into the electric traps to electrify 16 zombies and complete the objective.
Follow Amanda through the same red and white building and head forward to find the Ferris Wheel by the pirate ship. Amanda is standing on top of another building just behind the Ferris Wheel.
Look up to talk to Amanda again, who, unsurprisingly, is after more content, completing the next objective to ‘check in’ with her. Things are about to get messy as Amanda wants to ramp up the zombie gore action by getting players to lop off some zombie’s heads.

Take Off Some Zombie Heads
Players mustdefeat 12 zombies by chopping off their heads. The best way to do this is by equipping one ofDead Island 2’s melee weapons, like the cleaver, and aiming for their heads when attacking. However, performing stomping attacks on downed zombies or shooting off their heads with guns also counts.
Many types of zombies attack, including Inferno Crushers and Grenadiers, so it’s best to switch up weapons frequently, use Fury Mode, and top up health with nearby energy drinks and protein bars to survive between lopping off heads.
Follow Amanda through the gate near where she stood towards thegiant octopus ride. There’s a workbench on the right, so now is a good time to craft more ofDead Island 2’s healing items, like med-kits using fabrication blueprints.
Head around the corner of the octopus ride to find Amanda standing on the building next to it and talk with her to begin the final part of the Like and Follow side quest.

YEET The Zombies Off The Pier
Funny ways to kill zombies seem a big hit with Amanda’s viewers, as players must nowknock 14 zombies off the Pierinto the water. It can be the hardest part of the quest as it’s easy to get surrounded while trying to knock zombies overboard, and there are some tough zombies about, including armored ones, to make the task challenging.
EquippingDead Island 2’s skills cardslike Ground Pound to weaken zombies' stability and performing drop-kicks while luring them near the edge is the way to go. However, simple kicks drain less stamina, so make use of those once zombies get close to the edge and top up health regularly to avoid getting wiped out.
Mop' Em Up And Clear The Way For Amanda…For Real This Time!
Once 14 zombies fall into the sea, it’s time to mop up the stragglers, from grenadiers toDead Island 2’s screamers. Kill all zombies in the area to tick off this objective and breathe a sigh of relief.
Return to Amanda and speak with her tocomplete the Like and Follow side quest and receive 4,000 XP, the nail gun, and the rare ranged electrocution mod as rewards.
