Destiny 2players are no strangers to findingunexpected ways to get an edge on the gameand get around some of its most challenging quests and obstacles, so it may not come as a surprise that someone found a way to seriously cheese the heck out of the boss fight at the end of the Warden of Nothing Grandmaster strike.

As a reminder, Grandmaster was added to the game on April 21 and serves as thehighest difficulty for Nightfall strikes, designed to provide players with the most brutal test of skill and team coordination yet outside ofDestiny 2’s raids. Ironically, though, it turns out a particular design quirk of the Warden of Nothing strike’s final area can be utilized to reduce that brutal test into a complete cakewalk for even solo players.

Worst of all (or best, depending on who players ask), the process is incredibly simple. According to footage from YouTuber Esoterickk, players need to clear out all of the enemies leading up to theWarden of Nothing’s boss’ appearance. At that point, they can jump onto one of the structural supports holding up the arena’s ceiling (specifically the one near the large hole in the arena’s dome) and from there jump up into a broken pipe sticking out of the ceiling.

Once they slide into the pipe from there, players will be completely safe from everything the boss has to throw at them, at which point they are free to poke out of their hiding spot, attack the boss, and then retreat at their leisure. As for weapons, any ranged weapon or grenade will do, but Esoterickk recommends using theAnarchy exotic grenade launcher, since its trap grenades are especially good at stacking damage on the boss and providing decent DPS even while players are hiding behind cover.

Just to be clear, this is a much slower option than just fighting the boss normally, but as the footage proves, it gets the job done and makes it that much easier for players to beat the Grandmaster Nightfall and get that much closer to earning the Season of the Worthy-exclusive title of Conqueror. That is, unless Bungie patches it out ofDestiny 2before the season ends.

Destiny 2is available for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
