Summary
Bungie makes another big tweak toDestiny 2, giving players double the chance to earn the limited edition and rarer shiny variants of the BRAVE arsenal of weapons. Over the past two months,Destiny 2has seen a revival of sorts, breaking out of the relative funk that the game found itself in due to a string of bad news and disappointments from the delay of The Final Shape, questions regarding the future of the franchise, and morale-crushing layoffs at Bungie.
However, things have really turned around over the past couple of months thanks in large part to thewell received Into The Light update, which has continued to add new content into the game from the wave based Onslaught mode, Pantheon, and the return of The Whisper and Zero Hour exotic missions. One of the more popular aspects with fans are the returning BRAVE arsensal, 12 fan favorite weapons with a new look and perks that can be acquired through playing the Onslaught mode and spending tokens with Shaxx. With the weapons going away with The Final Shape, Bungie is making the rare shiny variant versions slightly easier to come by in the final week.

Inside ofBungie’s weekly blog post, the studio announced that it’s planning to turn up the loot even more in the final week before The Final Shape launches. To help players find the shiny variant they’re hunting for, the drop chance for these limited-edition weapons is being doubled starting on May 28.Destiny 2players can find them through spending Trophies of Braveryor as drops during Onslaught. It’s worth noting that these changes are only available for a week as Into The Light comes to an end on June 3 and with it, these special weapons.
All 12 BRAVE Arsenal Weapons in Destiny 2
AlthoughDestiny 2features 12 BRAVE arsenal weaponsthat randomly drop, players can influence the RNG systems slightly. By visiting the Hall of Champions destination, players can interact with one of the various Lord Shaxx statues, each one linked to a specific weapon, to increase the drop chances. Combined with Bungie’s upcoming changes on May 28, players can really impact their chances of scoring a rare version of a specific gun.
The announcement coincides with numerous pro-player changes that Bungie has made over the past month. Alongside making the previous expansions free to play for a limited time as well as an increase in Brave weapon drops in Onslaught, Bungie is making the Stasis subclass available to all players with The Final Shape expansion, meaning they no longer need to play or own Beyond Light. To help players finish off theirSeasonal Weapon Crafting Patterns from the pastDestiny 2year, Bungie also is allowing 1 deepsight pattern weapon to drop for finishing a seasonal activity every day until the launch of The Final Shape. Technically, this meant thatDestiny 2players could play four activities, 1 from each season each day, and earn missing patterns.
