After helping Oswald get settled inhis first friendship quest, you will soon unlock another quest with the lucky rabbit inDisney Dreamlight Valley. Before you can do Oswald’s next quest, you must be level two with him and also haveunlocked Stitchand Olaf.
For the second quest, Oswald needs your help with getting up in the morning. But one alarm clock will not be enough to help him in the morning, so he asks you to make multiple clocks, but then things take a wacky turn. This quest takes a while to complete, but here is how to complete “An Alarming Development”.

Gather the Materials
Since you need to make multiple alarm clocks, you will have to gather a hefty sum of materials. To be more specific, you will need 35 Mechanical Parts, 15 Bronze Ingots, 50 Plastic Scrap, and 10 Zinc. When you do the math and see how much material you need, this quest nearly givesRemembering Old Timesa run for its money.
Here is what you will need to gather to craft the Bronze Ingots and the Mechanical Parts:

15 x Bronze Ingot
35 xBrass Ingotsfor Mechanical Parts
105 Copper, 70 Zinc, 35 Coal Ore
So when you add all of that together along with the materials that don’t need to be crafted, this quest requires you to obtain 305 Copper, 50 Tin, 85 Coal Ore, 80 Zinc, 50 Plastic Scrap. Unless you have the majority of these materials already, this is going to be a lengthy grind.
If you are short on any of these materials, bring along acompanion with the mining rolefor the Copper, Tin, Coal Ore, and Zinc as it will make this grind go much faster. Once it is time to gatherthe Plastic Scrap, bring along someone with the fishing role and fish along the water at The Docks in Ancient’s Landing. After you have managed to gather all the materials, you will be able to craft Oswaldian Alarm Clocks.

Once you’ve completed this step, you will need to wait 10 minutes to get the next objective for this quest.
Check On Oswald
Oswald acts strangely before confessing that the alarm clocks are running around on their own across Eternity Isle. Now, it is up to you to catch all seven alarm clocks. Don’t attempt to chase the clocks, as they are faster than you, and it is much more difficult to catch them this way. Instead, watch how they run around the area and then either move so that they are running toward you or stand still and interact with themright as they are directly in front of you. Charleston is running around in circles on the docks. Shimmy can be found in the Grasslands. You can find Tango in the Borderlands.
Lindy Hop is running amok in the Plains. Foxtrot runs in a circle that goes through both the Wastes and the Plains. Swing is jogging around at the Lagoon. Finally, Texas Tommy runs in a large lap that goes through both the Grove and the Promenade. After you have gathered all the rogue alarm clocks, check in with Oswald again.

Find Even More Alarm Clocks
Turns out you still have a few more alarm clocks to track down. Head to Ancient’s Landing and fish from the orange circles to catch Rumba. Look for a rock on the south edge of the Lagoon that has visual effects similar to the alarm clocks from the previous quest step. Destroy this rock to find Conga. Waltz is sunbathing in the Borderlands west of the well. Dig him out with the shuffle and then talk to Oswald.
After that, find Olaf and talk to him. Then meet the pair at Oswald’s house. Listen to Olaf’s story and then talk to Oswald to help him set things right after all the chaos he has caused with his living alarm clocks.

Brew Some Coffee
Oswald will give you a recipe for Black (and White) Coffee, which he wants to give to some of the villagers. This isn’t normal coffee, though. To make it, you will need to take the Oswaldian Garlic that Oswald gives you and then gather 40 Coaland 28 Pearls. Go to the nearest crafting station (not cooking) and make Oswald’s Black (and White) Coffee.
Next, take the coffee and give it to Merlin, Gaston, Rapunzel, and Scrooge McDuck. Return to Oswald and tell him about the bizarre side effect of his coffee. With everything set right on Eternity Isle, it’s time to help Oswald set up a picnic for Stitch and himself.

A Black and White Picnic
To complete this step of the quest, pick a spot anywhere on Eternity Island andplace two White Furniture, two Black Furniture, two Quirky Furniture, and two Seats. On the furniture tab, there will be four sections for Oswald that will automatically sort every piece of furniture you own so that you can see what will work for this quest.
Like with other quests inDisney Dreamlight Valleywhere you need to decorate, don’t stress whether it looks good or not. As long as you place the required amount of furniture, it doesn’t matter whether it looks like a picnic or a yard sale. Once you are satisfied with your setup, talk to Oswald, and he will give you a parasol to place. When you place the parasol, the final step of this quest is to take a picture and then talk to Oswald one last time.
