Renowned for its near endless array of potential endings and sizable, well-textured map,Elden Ringalso boasts a variety ofabsurdly tall fiendsfor the player to lock horns with.

6The Regal Ancestor Spirit Doesn’t Quite Live Up To Its Name

The Hallowhorn Grounds have a predictably monstrous adversary for players to clash with. The re-animated remains of what appear to be a titanic-sized deer, the creature serves as arguably the most fearsome example of an Ancestor Spirit on offer.

Standing at 22 feet, this mega-antlered, ghostly figure is an optional boss fight for the player to consider. Holy and Fire-based attacks work best when trying to take this undead creature down.Perhaps most frustrating of all with this bossis its knack for healing up quickly mid-fight if the player doesn’t maintain an aggressive onslaught.

5Dragonlord Placidusax Has Two Malevolent, Gigantic Heads To Tangle With

This murderous, two-headed dragon is no slouch in the combat department, proving to be a nightmare for players lacking in lightning and fire resistance. Though optional to take on, the Dragonlord’s a compelling figure that adds more to the lore and history of the Elden Lords.

Coming in at 43 feet, this imposing monster boasts a suitably threatening size advantage over the player. Slaying the Dragonlord will grant the player the Remembrance of the Dragonlord consumable. This dual-headed boss can be located at the Crumbling Farum Azula.

4Astel, Naturalborn Of The Void, Makes For One Of The Strangest Bosses

Long before the players meets it, this bizarre alien monster completely wiped out one of the Eternal Cities. Sporting countless legs, an enormous, potentially fatal tail, and an off-putting human skull-like head, Astel is one ofElden Ring’s most sinister and unconventional threats.

Looming large at an immense 69 feet,Astel is a force to be reckoned with. Residing in the Grand Cloister, Astel can be located via a journey through the aptly-named Lake of Rot. While doing battle with this bizarre fiend is optional, it must be defeated if the player wants to obtain the Age of the Stars ending.

3Elden Beast Makes For A Fittingly Huge Final Boss

The unsettling true form of the Elden Ring makes for one of the game’s most action-packed and essential boss fights. To complete the main arc,the player has no choice but to confront this monstrosity head on. Serving as the vassal of the Greater Will and the living manifestation of order.

Standing at 85 feet, the Elden Beast’s bizarre aesthetic blend of dolphins, an amoeba, space, and copious number of wings is one of the game’s strangest and more memorable designs. The fact the Elden Beast pops up immediately after the player vanquishes Radagon of the Golden Order only adds to the exhaustive nature of its boss fight.

2Fire Giant Gives Surtur A Run For His Money On The Size Front

Almost like the Robert Neville of giants, Fire Giant is a sole survivor of the old war against the big folks. Bizarrely, the Fire Giant sports not one, but two faces, with both a regular face on his skull and a surprise one covering much of his torso. The enormous fiend can fittingly be found in the Mountaintops of the Giants where, to progress in the game’s main plot, the player has no choice but to take him down.

Standing at 115 feet, the beastly titan is a tall order to take on. The fire-spewing, club-swinging monster’s kryptonite is the dreaded scarlet rot, and he’s generally susceptible to other poisons as well. Upon defeating the Fire Giant, the player gets the Remembrance of the Fire Giant consumable, potentially granting the player with the power of the colossus in question.

1Greyoll Is Enormous, Even By The Standards Of The Lands Between

The mighty, but thankfully optional, dragon boss dwarfs all but the Erdtree itselfin sheer size and scale. Greyoll can be found in Caelid, one of the creepiest areas on the map. Just east of Limgrave, all of Caelid has been rocked by the scarlet rot, giving it an unnatural red hue. As if the unfortunate aesthetic and colossal dragon weren’t enough, the land is crawling with the undead, making for some troublesome action before one even reaches the mountainous dragon on offer.

When standing upright on her hind legs, Greyoll measures in at a whopping 282 feet, with a wingspan of 856 feet. The gargantuan boss can net the player a sizable helping of runes upon defeat, making her a popular battle to seek out among players. Greyoll’s five dragon kids are the main threat to deal with in many ways, as each one represents 20% of the big beast’s health bar. Once the player’s slain all five of the youngsters, Greyoll can be undone with a single blow.
