While someWandaVisionfans have long been hoping that the Disney Plus series would get a second season, that doesn’t appear to be in the cards. Elizabeth Olsen recently confirmed that the “limited series” moniker is sticking around, meaning sad news for fans hoping for more of the series.

WandaVisionwas always billed as a “limited series,” though there were enough cliffhangers that some fans believed Marvel had rethought its approach. The series also introduced several characters who are poised toappear in the MCU outside ofWandaVision. Despite the theories about a potential second season eventually arriving on Disney Plus, Olsen stated that season 1 is the only one that will air.

Olsen recently had a conversation throughVarietywithThe Flight Attendantstar Kaley Cuoco, where shespilled the beans about noWandaVisionseason 2. When Cuoco asked Olsen about whether she expected a second season, the latter made it very clear she didn’t believe that plan was in the works. “No. No. It’s definitely a limited series,” she said. However, Cuoco then pointed out that her own show was originally supposed to be a limited series as well. However, HBO Max recently announced it had scheduled a second season forThe Flight Attendant.

Olsen then backpedaled a bit on her certainty. She said that she believedWandaVisionis only getting one season, but she isn’t privy to any kind of inside information. She added that when it comes to Marvel, people are never certain of what might be planned for the future. She then pointed to her own show and talked about how people died before trailing off. The implication there was that The Vision died inTheAvengersmovie series, only to return for the Disney Plus show.

Cuoco noticed that Olsen, who played one of the show’s titular characters in Wanda Maximoff, walked back her rather definite comments about no other seasons ofWandaVision. The Flight AttendantandBig Bang Theorystar lamented that she thought she’d gotten a bombshell exclusive just then.

However, Olsen’s comments seem to confirm both what Marvel and one of her co-stars had said previously. Not only has the show always been billed as a limited series, but Paul Bettany, who has playedThe Vision since the character’s MCU debut, recently said he’s not contracted to play the hero in any other projects. While he didn’t rule out eventually returning if Marvel wanted him to do so, the comments seem to confirm the end ofWandaVisionfor now.

WandaVisionis now available on Disney Plus.
