Victory depends on hunters doing their job and mowing down as many deadites as possible before they swarm the group. Players who want to regularly come out on top inEvil Dead: The Gamewill want to master a hunter and that starts with having the right build.

Effect

It’s A Trap

When activated, this ability grants use of a unique flashlight that allows you to detect and temporarily disarm demon traps.

Increases the battery life of your flashlight.

Weapon Master: Crossbow

The crossbow has a faster attack speed and deals increased damage, balance bar, and dismemberment damage.

The Collector

Increases the chance that defeated enemies will drop items; also improves the chance of finding crates of a higher rarity.

This may be a shock to some players since three of Ed’s four abilities deal more with support, but he’s absolutely the right choice for damage dealing; both for himself and the team. His flashlight will eliminate any traps for select moments; turn it on before opening any chest and never get hit by a trap again.

Evil Dead The Game Playing As Ed In Multiplayer

The real kicker here is his final trait, The Collector, which increases drops from enemies and improves the odds of finding better chests. Amongthe best hunters, Ed stands out because he’s the only one that gives the whole team extra ammo and better weapons. When Ed’s in the group, it is almost guaranteed every survivor will end the match with a legendary weapon and plenty of ammo to go along with it.

Skill Tree

If it’s worrisome that a support-like hunter was selected, the skill tree is when all those doubts should melt away. Go ahead and maximize every skill on both of the first two rows on the tree, all of which enhance damage, range, and overall capabilities of ranged weapon effectiveness.

With allthe best hunter skillsmaxed out and a few extra points left to invest, go ahead and invest a bit into stamina and dodging. This is just enough to allow the hunter to dodge a third time, which will be very important due to the fact that melee enemies are an inherent weakness to the hunter. Dodge their swings with a step back and give them an easy headshot for their troubles.

Upgrades

Unsurprisingly, ranged damage and stamina are the top two most important upgrades to start out with. The hunter received a boost to both and will need them; enemies that take two or three shots for other classes will be one-hit kills for the hunter, fulfilling the purpose of the survivor beautifully.

After that, players can use a bit of creativity and spend points depending on the specifics of the demon that they fight against. The hunter is prone to getting separated from the group, so it could be smart to get a few points into fear, though Ed’s flashlight should prevent any unexpected fear gains.
