Fall Guys, the party game meets battle royale game, is an instant success. Not only has it received over a million downloads as part of its PlayStation Plus partnership, but its also stayed at the top of the Twitch viewership charts. At least, it does when its servers are up. Now it seems that other gaming brands want in on some ofFall Guys' success on social media. The latest and most wholesome example beingFall Guys' interaction with the CD Projekt Red accounts for bothThe WitcherandCyberpunk 2077.
To set up the interaction, theFall Guyssocial media manager is very proactive and is understandably excited about the game’s launch and success. They’re also very interested in continuing to build the game’s community, as well as snag some publicity and prestige as they’re able. Case in point, their month-long effort to get verified on Twitter. Many of their more recent efforts include trying to get other game studios to agree to do aFall Guyscrossover. Such is the case withCyberpunk 2077.

Thursday morning the officialFall GuysTwitter account flagged the officialCyberpunk 2077account, asking “how many retweets would we need to get for you to collab with us?” In a response that’s certain to stir up fan excitement for both games, theCyberpunk 2077account replied with, “One.” Hopefully, that means aCyberpunk 2077-themedFall Guysskin will be offered in the months to come.
However, the interaction didn’t end there. The official account forThe Witcher, perhaps envious of the attentionCyberpunk 2077was receiving, also joined in on the fun.The Witcher’s account replied toFall Guys' tweet saying, “LOL Cyberpunk. DM us for something more exciting.” The two then exchanged follows and, presumably, moved into DMs to talk about their own collaboration.
Twitter interactions aren’t promises, of course. As cool as it would be to get a DLC pack ofFall Guyscostumes featuringThe Witcher’s Geralt and Ciri, plusCyberpunk 2077’s protagonist Vand the Keanu Reaves character Johnny Silverhand, sometimes these things just don’t work out. Of course, it very well could work out in the end, too.Fall Guysalready has a premium DLC pack available with in-game cosmetics. More DLC packs are absolutely expected.
In fact, now thatFall Guyshas publically talked about the possibility of collaborations, other interested parties are making their voices heard.Walmart Canada, of all social media accounts, messagedFall Guysabout a collaboration. It even featured a Fall Guy wearing a Walmart uniform. IfFall Guyswasn’t already so wonderfully strange, fans may have only seen the start of it.
