Whileadditions like Thicc Bonkus are hilariousand good changes that keep stages fresh, Mediatonic is clearly listening to player complaints with the addition of Gauntlet mode. Team games have been controversial ever since the game released, with many players feeling as if they are unfair additions to a battle royale game since players must rely on random teammates. Some players enjoy them, though, so making an optional mode as opposed to removing them completely is the right move.
While some fans may rejoice due to Guantlet mode not having themuch-memedFall Guysteam games, the new option may not be for them after all. This is because Gauntlet only includes races, eliminating survival games as well as team games. Fan favorites like Jump Showdown are missing entirely, and beyond that, the only stage offered for the mode’s finale is Fall Mountain. With the most popular final game, Hex-a-gone, not being present at all, players may get tired of playing the same final showdown.
For those interested in aFall Guysmode that only features races, however, they will see the option to switch game modes when loading up the game. They will also find a new battle pass forFall Guys, full of new outfits, patterns, and color schemes. According to the game’s lead designer,Fall Guysseason 2’s battle pass is easier to complete, requiring less XP to earn the rewards due to complaints that the first pass was so grindy.
For players who enjoy the medieval theme ofFall Guysseason 2, they will likely be interested in seeing theunique inspiration forFall Guys’ second season. For those who just want to play, though, they can load up the game now to access Gauntlet mode and all the other additions to the game.
