Far Cry 6 Co-Op Progress
The most important thing forFar Cry 6playersto keep in mind while playing co-op is that only the host’s story progress will be saved. Therefore, while players can effectively complete the game together, only the host will move their campaign progress forward. It’s a bit of a double-edged sword, as it means that the co-op partner isn’t making any campaign progress, but they still get to experience everything for themselves when they return to their game.
Far Cry 6 Co-Op Partner Progress
However, it’s not a total loss for co-op partners.Far Cry 6will allow them to keep some progressthey earn from the host’s world. Specifically, co-op players will be allowed to keep any ammo, buffs, camp resources, gadget ammo, gathered items, guerrilla experience, purchased items, and upgraded items that they earn while in another player’s world. Essentially, if a player isn’t the host, it might be wise to treat their experience as something of a scavenger hunt.
There are also other sorts of missions that can be beneficial to both players. The Special Operations are limited right now, but they’re repeatable and take place in interesting locations. Completing them gives players a special currency that can be used to earn interesting weapons, charms, and other gear.

While co-op progress is going to be a bit of a bummer depending on what players are looking for, it’s still an interesting way to experience the game. Having a partner can make for an all-around more interesting experience, and it might help break up some of the more repetitive content found inFar Cry 6.
Far Cry 6is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
