Ever Crisisreleased earlier in September after a closed beta test period and a delay, with the game’s stories being told through downloadable chapters. While it was first announced as a mobile game, Square Enix also promised that it would be receiving a PC port down the line. This version of the game is coming very soon, asa Steam store page forEver Crisiswas opened up a few months after its mobile launch. Alongside the PC requirements,Ever Crisisrevealed a number of PC-exclusive features.
In anarticle from Famitsu, writer Seijiro Murata posted his impressions of the PC version, alongside a gameplay demo video as well. The first thing that Murata confirmed was the game can support 4K resolution, making it beneficial to play the game on a bigger screen as opposed to a smartphone. He also confirms three FPS options forFinal Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis; 30, 60, and even 120 FPS. He notes that the fast movement and 4K resolution makes the battles look amazing, and can make the experience comparable to high-spec PC or console games.

TheSteam version ofEver Crisiswill also support keyboard controls and remapping, meaning players can easily change what keys can trigger the shortcut buttons for the materia or limit break commands. Murata was able to confirm that there will be a function that can link the save data between the mobile and PC versions, meaning that players won’t lose any progress they made inEver Crisis' story campaign.

Murata also confirms that this version ofEver Crisiswill have 16 achievements to unlock, which is a rather small number. While there are some that require the player to accomplish certain objectives, such as clearing the 50th floor of Midgar Falls, most of them are unlocked by going through the game’s story. This makes it one of theeasiestFinal Fantasygames to get achievements for. Murata states that the Steam version of the game is planned to be distributed on December 7, though it’s unclear if this is a Japan-exclusive date.
