Here, they encounter Vincent guarding the abandoned research lab from his coffin, where he questions the party’s intent and requires them to authenticate their clearance before being allowed to explore the manor’s basement. However, after Cloud stumbles upon samples from Hojo’s experiments, Vincent becomes angered and attacks the party in his Galian Beast form, only joining up with them after being defeated and convinced to help their hunt for Sephiroth.
AlthoughVincent joins the partyafter this chapter, he isn’t playable inFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth, but will likely be in the final part of the trilogy. As such, a DLC forFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirthstarring Vincent would be the perfect way to introduce his play style to players ahead of this final part. Players have already gotten a taste of what Vincent can do in the boss fight against his Galian Beast form inFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth, but a DLC starring Vincent could help familiarize players with how this form would play out from their position going into the third game in the remake trilogy.

What a Vincent DLC for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Could Look Like
Although his appearance inFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirthis left somewhat vague, it’s alluded to in-game that he was a member of the Turks and worked for Shinra in the past. During this time, Vincent fell in love with a Shrina scientist named Lucrecia Crescent, who would later go on to give birth toSephiroth, fathered and genetically engineered by Hojo. Angered that Hojo would conduct his twisted experiments on Lucrecia and her unborn son, Vincent attacks Hojo, who winds up shooting and nearly killing Vincent, only to use his half-dead body for experiments, turning Vincent into the monster players are introduced to.
In the original 1997 release ofFinal Fantasy 7, Vincent is an optional party member who can only be recruited by solving thepuzzle to unlock a safe in Shinra Manorand battling the Lost Number boss. After gaining Vincent as a teammate, players can access Lucrecia’s Crystal Cave to see this backstory play out. However, a Vincent DLC forFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirthcould let players play through this tragic story to get to know the character better, playing out the fight against Hojo that leaves Vincent vulnerable to his experiments.
