One of this week’s quests tasks players withforaging for food items, which usually mean collecting a certain number of consumables like corn, mushrooms, or apples. However, the way this particularFortnitequest is worded may throw some players off, and this guide walks through a method that is sure to complete the quest properly.
About a month into Season 7 of Chapter 2, players have seen many changes to the game over the last few weeks. In addition to introducing alien parasites to the island, Epic Games' ever-popular battle royale title has grantedaccess to the massive ominous alien mothershiphovering in the skies above since the season began.

How to Forage for Food in Fortnite
The Week 4 legendary quest requires players to forage for food. While technically food items can be found scattered everywhere around the island, there is one location where finding such items is essentially guaranteed. The location in question is Corny Complex, located just southwest ofthe farm clue-searching quest location, another one of this week’s legendary quests.
As demonstrated by establishedFortniteYouTuber Fortnite Events, heading to this specific POI makes harvesting corn a straightforward task; simply use the pickaxe to knock down the cornfield crops, which should then yield a bunch of collectible corn. However, collecting the corn alone will not complete the quest.
As mentioned before, the wording of this quest, in particular, has been leading many players to think the quest isn’t working.Fortnitehas put out similarly worded quests tasking players with collecting foraged items several times in the past, which may be leading to widespread confusion. The trick to this challenge is that players are actually required toconsumethe foraged items,not just collectthem.
Players can either simply continue playing until they’ve taken enough damage, or do something like take fall damage orfind an alien parasiteto shave off some health in order to consume the foraged items. Once five are eaten, the quest will be completed.
Corny Complex is an interesting location as it pertains to the current season. Formerly known as Colossal Crops, the POI was the first location last season to havesignificant evidence of an alien invasion. In addition, several large crop circles appeared around the area, leading many to think the spot would be completely transformed into a brand new location.
However, Corny Complex is only a fairly mild redesign of Colossal Crops, which begs the question as to why the crop circles appeared there specifically.Fortniteseems to be adding more robust midseason content updates this time around, so it stands to reason the location could hold greater significance at some point later on.
