One of the Spring Breakout missions will have players scavenging the map so that they canfind a total of 30 laid eggsto complete a three-stage mission. It can be difficult to find the laid eggs given the size ofFortnite’s battle royale map, so this guide will show players exactly how they cancollect laid eggsin-game.

How To Find Laid Eggs in Fortnite

Laid eggs will appear whenever aSpring Breakout eventchicken is nearby. It’s easy to tell apart regular chickens from event chickens because theSpring Breakout chickenswill have a bluish-green, purple, or gold hue; they’re not white like the ones players would normally spot on the island.

Chickens will lay eggsas they wander around the island, so whenever the player sees one of these chickens, they have to run after it, and it’ll lay even more eggs. The eggs can then be consumed or gathered for health gain, a hop rock effect, or gold bars.

The chicken will lay eggs until it has been eliminated, so as long as it isn’t attacked, players can continue to collect as many eggs as possible and finish the Spring Breakout quest.

Spring Breakout Event Chicken Locations

Although it may seem random initially, there are certain locations on the island where players will be more prone to find laid eggs. Gamers will actually have bigger chances of finding these chickens in the new Japanese-inspired areas of the map, namelyBamboo Circle, Fireglow Sanctuary, Sakura Circle, and Sandy Circle. This doesn’t mean, however, that it’s not possible to find these special event chickens near other locations.

If a player isn’t finding a chicken in one of the areas mentioned above, they can always get themselves aNitro Drifterand go to another location to try their luck elsewhere. Either way, for the quest, players will only need to find 30 laid eggs, and the event will be live until April 11 at 12 AM ET - giving gamers plenty of time to find it without feeling pressured.
