Fortnitehas taken a different approach to XP quests for Chapter 2, Season 8. New Punchcards are added every week, and this week it’s the NPC Ragsy’s turn to give players new challenges. The second step of the Punchcard needs a small Shield Potion and Shield Fish to be consumed.
Finding and using a small Shield Potion is easy thanks to the first step of the questline that asks players to purchase a shield item from amending machine location inFortnite. Finding a Shield Fish is a tougher task if players aren’t used to catching them.

Where to Find Shield Fish in Fortnite
The good thing about Shield Fish inSeason 8 ofFortniteis thatthey can be found by fishing anywhere on the map. Two types of Shield Fish can spawn anywhere, while the other two easy catches can be found in forest and coastal areas.
All players need to do is find a Fishing Rod or Harpoon Gun, and then head to the edge of a map, or a large body of water like a lake or stream. A Fishing Rod will never break inFortnite, but a Harpoon Gun has a limited number of shots before it runs out. It is the faster fishing option, however, and it’s recommended to use one if possible.
Once a rod orFortniteHarpoon Gunhas been obtained, go to any body of water and search for thefishing holes that are marked by bubbles and ripples on the surface, and start fishing. It might take a few attempts, but it won’t be long before players find a Shield Fish. Although they sound similar, theSlurpfish or Jellyfish do not count as Shield Fish, and consuming them won’t clear Ragsy’s task.
Where to Find a Fishing Rod in Fortnite
The best place on theFortniteMapto find a Fishing Rod or Harpoon gun is at Craggy Cliffs. There is a fishing shop opposite the large main building that is always filled with barrels full of them. With so many barrels to destroy, it’s also the best place to try and get a Harpoon Gun.
There also tend to be barrels with fishing rods in them dotted about the edges of streams and lakes.Anywhere there are fishing holes, there will be a fishing rod nearbyunless another player has already taken one. Fishing Rods and Harpoon Guns can also be found as random loot, and in chests.
