A dragon find itself in a place that it does not belong as anElden Ringplayer is saved by a random bug that traps the beast inside of a building.Elden Ringhas a large, sprawling world where anything can happen at any time, including having enemies place themselves in areas where they do not belong.

The city of Leyndell is one of the larger closed-in areas ofElden Ring, so much so that it has several smaller dungeons inside of it, one of which is a special dungeon that can lead to one of the more dfficult bosses,Mohg. The city itself is filled with knights, fingercreepers, and Misbegottens, but there are no dragons in the city besides the dead one in the center of it.

However, that does not seem to be the case for Reddit user SykoManiax, who posted a video to r/Eldenring showing where they encountered the boss Ancient Dragon Lansseax in the city of Leyndell and how it eventually got stuck in the building. Many believe the player is using arandomizer forElden Ring, a mod that randomizes what enemies spawn where, which makes sense because this certain boss has no place in Leyndell. This is evident by the fact that, in the video, it manages to get itself stuck in one of the buildings. Also, later on in the video, it can be seen that Marionette Soldiers are there, another enemy that doesn’t usually spawn in Leyndell.

In the video, the player is trying to put some distance between themselves and the ancient dragon. However, possibly due to such a distance, Lansseax, the sister to thepowerful dragon boss Fortissax, uses its ability to strike lightning down upon the player, bringing their health down to the mid-point. Before they could continue the assault, the dragon tries to close the distance between them, but instead only manages to glitch itself upward and into a window just above where the player was sheltering themselves from the dragon’s barrage of lightning. The player then goes outside to confirm that the dragon did indeed get itself stuck and is walking in midair perpetually.

Randomizers, as evident by the name, can make unexpected situations crop up even more so than usual in theElden Ringbase game. Enemies appearing in places they shouldn’t be, like Rune Bears in small caves, Elden Beasts in the middle of Stormveil Castle, or even Ancient Dragons in Leyndell where instead theLeyndell Knights should be. That’s what makes randomizers both hilarious and risky but can usually make a second playthrough just that much different from the first.

Elden Ringis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
