A newGenshin Impactleak reveals that a very popular character named Dainsleif will appear in the next update 3.5. Developer HoYoverse already confirmed some of the upcoming content for the next update including two new characters, the Pyro user Dehya, and the game’s first Cryo catalyst, Mika.
Dainsleif is one of the most anticipated characters inGenshin Impactand he was officially announced during the game’s first story teaser back in 2020. Since then, he made multiple appearances in the official storyline and many players expect him to become part of the playable roster in the future.

One of the game’s most credible leakers named Genshin_Intel has posted an overview of theupcomingGenshin Impactupdate 3.5. The post mentioned that Dainsleif will appear in Act IV of the current 3rd Archon Quest chapter, alongside Kaeya and Eide. The game’s official storyline has presented Dain as one of the most mysterious characters in the game who used to be the captain of the Royal Guard of the legendary Khaenri’ah nation. This region rebelled against Teyvat’s Gods which led to its inevitable destruction 500 years before the game’s current timeline, during the infamous cataclysm.
The destruction of Khaenri’ah led to thecreation of the Abyss Orderwhich is one of the main antagonist factions in the game at the moment. However, the “We Will Be Reunited” quest line confirmed that Dainslef is actually fighting against the Abyss despite his ties to Khaenr’ah. Even though appeared a couple of times in the story, Dain’s true intentions remain a mystery which led many players to suspect that he could become one of the end-game villains.
The leak suggests that he could appear in thesameGenshin Impactquest as Kaeya, another Khaenr’iah character who shares a similar design to Dainleif. Both characters have the right parts of their face covered, and their left eyes have Primogem-shaped pupils. The official story has confirmed that Dain is cursed with immortality which is an interesting detail that could be incorporated into his kit if he ends up joining the playable roster.
Fans have also pointed out that the leaker also mentioned one ofMondstadt’s legendary characters named Alice. This character, who is confirmed to be Klee’s mum, is also known as one of the most powerful mages in the world of Teyvat. While many fans were hoping to finally see Alice’s official appearance, Genshin_Intel later confirmed that won’t appear in person.
