A new post on the popularGenshin Impactsubreddit shows an interesting detail about the new major region. Sumeru has been added as part of the ongoing major update which also introduced three new playable characters to the roster: Collei, Dori and Tighnari.

The new major region took exploring, which is one ofGenshin Impact’s greatest assets, to the next level. Since Sumeru arrived, players have been expressing their feelings about some of the smallest details developer HoYoverse implemented in the game.

Reddit user bolide_retracing has shared aninteresting detail about the new Sumeru region. According to the screenshots, Sumeru provides universal healthcare to all of its residents. The info panel shown in the thread claims that Bimarstan’s doctors are licensed by the Amurta, which is one of the six main schools of Sumeru Akademya also known as the Six Darshans. Out of the Six Darshans, Amurta was the first one to be created by researchers who helped Greater Lord Rukkhadave cultivate the rainforest.

However, while the majority of the fan base appreciates Sumeru’s healthcare system, a number of comments claim that the healthcare is actually not free at all considering that Sumeru’s residents pay for it with their dreams and memories, which wasrevealed in the Archon Quest. Overall players seem amazed by all the little details that went into designing the new Sumeru region as the post reached over 1,700 upvotes. Fans claim that the new major region exceeded their already high expectation especially when it comes to world design.

In comparison to the three previously released major regions, Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma, the new rainforest in Sumeru seems much more interactive. Developer HoYoverse even introduced anew type of wildlife toGenshin Impactthat will attack players if they enter their territory. The new enemies and random NPCs can be seen fishing, playing instruments, and petting animals which was hardly the case in the earlier regions. Recent leaks have already revealed that the upcoming update will unlock a new part of the map which will include the game’s first desert.

According to recent map leaks, the upcoming part of Sumeru will probably be larger than the rainforest that arrived in update 3.0 and players will apparently get to explore various temples inspired by ancient Egyptian civilization. The three characters that have already been confirmed to arrive inGenshin Impactversion 3.1, Cyno, Candace, and Nilou, all have their design based on traditional Egyptian and Middle Eastern clothing.

Genshin Impactis available for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, with a Nintendo Switch version also in development.
