Genshin Impactofficially reveals a teaser video showing some of the most iconic locations from the Liyue region. The Geo nation was the second major region to arrive to the game and for a very long time, it used to be the largest region in the game until HoYoverse introduced Sumeru along with its enormous deserts.

Each of the four currently revealedGenshin Impactregions are inspired by real-life locations and Liyue is confirmed to be based on Chinese culture. This is probably the main reason why the annual Lantern Rite Festival features characters from Liyue, and it’s always hosted in this region.

Genshin Impact’s Twitter account has posted a short video named Scenery and Sentiment: Liyue Edition that features incredible scenery taken from the Geo nation. The video shows almost all the region’s iconic locations such as Luhua Pool, Qingyun Peak, and many others. This is thesecond video of the Scenery and Sentiment seriesand the first one featured the Anemo nation Mondstadt. There is a high chance that HoYoverse will release similar videos for each of its regions and many players are excited to see how they will portray the recently released Sumeru deserts. Some fans have pointed out that this could be one of the teasers for the upcoming anime adaptation that has been announced back in 2022.

The anime adaptation is the result of the collaboration betweenGenshin Impact’s developer HoYoverse and apopular animation studio named Ufotablewhich is responsible for creating various series such asFateandDemon Slayer. There is not a lot of information about the anime adaptation other than it’s now been in development for over two years.

Credible leakers have revealed that, just like the game’s main storyline, the story of the anime will be divided by region. Rumors claim that the first 12 episodes will apparently take place in the Mondstadt region which means that players will probably have to wait for the second season to see more action in the Geo nation. The video also includesLiyue’s most iconic playable characterslike Xiao and Zhongli, as well as some very important NPCs like Madame Ping and Cloud Retainer.

A lot of fans claim that they would prefer if the upcoming animated series wouldfollowGenshin Impact’s official manga, and they would not mind going through the same storyline once again. Also, considering that the Mondstadt arc will take 12 episodes confirms HoYoverse’s claims that this will be a long-term project.

Genshin Impactis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
