Alhaitham captured a lot of attention the moment he appeared as an NPC inGenshin Impact3.0. Finally, in version 3.4, the Akademiya’s Scribe was released alongside the Dendro healer, Yaoyao. Alhaitham is part of the Haravatat of the Sumeru Akademiya, which is one of the six Darshans that focuses on stuff like semiotics, linguistics, and ancient runes studies.
Although the Akademiya’s Scribe seems strong based on his fight withCyno inGenshin Impact, some will remain skeptical about whether it’s worth pulling for him or skipping his banner altogether. That’s why, before pulling for Alhaitham, it’s crucial to know the Dendro user’s advantages and disadvantages to see if he’s worth the Primogems or not.

Is It Worth Pulling For Alhaitham In Genshin Impact?
If players are looking for a DPS with complicated mechanics, then, yes, it is worth it to pull for Alhaitham inGenshin Impact. Alhaitham is not the strongest unit, but his kit is enough to carry him to be in a higher tier than most other characters.
Alhaitham Is Not Keqing
Some players might notice that Alhaitham’s kit and weapon are too similar to Keqing’s. While that’s true, it’s not entirely the case here.Alhaitham’s mechanics are more complicated, carry more DMG overall, and have a more demanding Elemental Burst. The difference in their Elements also forces a major change in combat styles. For example, Alhaitham can participate in Nilou’s limited team compositions to endlessly trigger Bloom DMG. He can also take advantage of the amazing Electro Roster, such as Raiden Shogun, Yae Miko, and Kuki.
Keqing suffers from her low scaling and lack of Dendro Supports that canfully support her DMG inGenshin Impact. She also has a restricted amount of choices when it comes to artifacts. All that puts her at a lower tier than Alhaitham inGenshin Impact.

Alhaitham Can Be Difficult To Master
Alhaitham can infuse his sword with Dendro when he gains a Chisel-Light Mirror. However, this mechanic is not as simple as it sounds. The Scribe can have up to three Chisel-Light Mirror, andhis Dendro infusion will stay as long as he has at least one.
Alhaitham can get Chisel-Light Mirror through these methods:
Each Mirror will disappear after 4s (all of them are removed if Alhaitham leaves the field), which means having 3 Mirrors guarantees 12s of Dendro infusion.
Not only for the infusion, but the Chisel-Light Mirror also deals extra Projection DMG every 1.6s. The DMG scales with the Chisel-Light Mirror stack, so the more stacks Alhaitham has, the more DMG his Projection will deal.

Consideringthe stack refreshes the 4s timer if a new stack is obtained, players can do the following rotation to ensure Chisel-Light Mirror is always in its best form:
This way, players can have 12s of three stacks, 4s of two stacks, and 4s of one stack, for a total of 20s Dendro infusion. Once the Chisel-Light Mirrors are all gone, players should be able to recast his Burst to redo everything all over again. Justnote that this method is only used for a main DPS Alhaitham.

If players want Alhaitham as aSub-DPS inGenshin Impact, then Elemental Burst should be cast when he has three Chisel-Light Mirror stacks. This will ensure the Burst deals maximum damage. For this, a possible rotation is:
