Still, with the upcoming sequel set to release sometime in 2022, fans have begun celebrating the incoming title by creating some incredible fan art.

Reddit user RammsteinAro has created a downright awe-inspiring drawing of series protagonist Kratos. Posted to theGod of WarReddit community, RammsteinAro’s striking piece features a menacing-looking Kratos adorned in richly detailed armor and with hisiconic leviathan axe. The eye-catching pops of color and immaculate level of detail really bring the Ghost of Sparta’s likeness to life.
RammsteinAro’s work has been understandably praised by other Reddit users. The drawing has earned nearly 800 upvotes as of writing and has started a healthy discussion within the community. Fans are praising RammsteinAro’s rendition for its ridiculous detail and obvious required talent. The art certainly does an excellent job of conveying Kratos’ physically imposing stature andlook fromGod of War: Ragnarok.
WithGod of Warbeing such a beloved and celebrated title, it makes sense that fans are so excited to see where the sequel takes the story.God of War: Ragnarokis switching directors, with the reboot’s Cory Barlog stepping aside to work on a different unnamed project while longtime series designer Eric Williams takes the helm. Fans shouldn’t have anything to fear, however, as Williams has extensive experience with the franchise, and theGod of Warseries has changed directors several times throughout its lengthy history.
God of War: Ragnarokwasn’t the only highly-anticipated title shown off at the PlayStation Showcase Event, either.Insomniac Games announced the PS5 exclusiveMarvel’s Spider-Man 2with a gorgeous cinematic trailer, for example. Classic Bioware RPGStar Wars: Knights of the Old Republichas a surprise remake revealed, too. Still,God of War: Ragnarokwas likely the highlight of the showcase for many fans if art pieces like RammsteinAro’s are anything to go by.
