Since its formal announcement,Gran Turismo 7has received minimal information besides varying updates. Following its recent appearance at PlayStation Showcase 2021,Gran Turismo 7’s pre-order bonuses and editions have been revealed.
Gran Turismo 7was announced during the PS5 reveal event last year, offering fans a glimpse at the game’s visuals as well as some insight on the game’s development. Despite being announced there, earlier this yearGran Turismo 7was confirmed to be a cross-gen game, coming to both the PS4 and PS5, and naturally spawning question about the game’s scale. The trailer shown at PlayStation Showcase may have quelled many people’s fears, though, as the game looks incredible on PS5; many of the game’s features were displayed including car customization and photo mode, as well as a first look at actual gameplay.

A new post on the PlayStation Blog details the pre-order bonuses for and variety of editions of next year’sGran Tursimo 7. Ken Chan, Sr. Product Manager at Sony, describes the game’s two versions available: the Launch Edition, and the 25th Anniversary Edition. Buying the Launch Edition either physically or digitally will get players 3 additional cars—the Toyota Castrol TOM’S Supra, the Mazda RX-VISION GT3 Concept (Stealth), and the Porsche 917K Living Legend—as well as 100,000 in-game Credit (CR). Players must have an internet connection to redeem these bonuses, which is expected, unlikeGran Turismo 7’s single-player online requirement.
The 25th Anniversary Edition is a larger (and sleeker) package. For starters, physical buyers will get a beautiful steelbook featuring the regular cover art without the massive logo. In addition to the bonus cars of the Launch Edition, the 25th Anniversary Edition also includes:
The Launch Edition is $69.99 and the 25th Anniversary Edition is $89.99;PS4 players will not get a free PS5 upgradeforGran Turismo 7, though, there being a $10 fee to move up to the PS5.

These editions offer incentives for both casual players and enthusiasts, with more cars and currency if players are willing to pay.Gran Turismo 7seeks to return to Classic GT racing, and it looks like PlayStation is going all-in on fulfilling that promise.
