While manyOverwatchplayers are currently enjoying the Summer Games event, it seems that other players are busy being furniture. As shared by one gamer, there is a visual glitch in the game that is turning characters into doors. The result is confusing, hilarious, and reallyadds a new twist to the summer event.
WhileOverwatchstill has plenty of life left in it before its sequel releases, some wear is starting to show. There has been more talk about reworking some favorite heroes, with many fans unsure if those reworks would take effect in this game or the next. There was fan outrage over some recent Moira changes which caused Blizzard to back away from more adjustments to her character for now. There have been Torbjorn turrets flying off maps, Mei walls disappearing, and apparently now a D.Va door.

Twitch streamer “Read” posted video on Twitter showing a D.Va in his match turning into a door, moving around, and then returning to normal like nothing happened. It seems like misery loves company, as a visual textureglitch is currently plaguingCall of Dutyplayers. However, at least the door issue lets players become Solid Snake in a box, rather than a horrible visual monstrosity. It is unclear if this bug was limited to only Read or if others have experienced it.
While this glitch comes right in the middle of the Summer Games event, it doesn’t seem like it will negativelyimpact players earning the new hero skins. The video shows Read shoot the door a few times, but no damage seems to impact the other player. The glitch doesn’t last long, as viewers watch the D.Va turn back to normal seconds later. Since the door is incredibly noticeable, this glitch draws a lot of attention and focus from the other team. Unless a player becomes a door and successfully sneaks around the enemy team, it seems like this might be the source of both complaints and laughter until it is properly fixed.
When Jeff Kaplan announcedplans to tackle the current double shield meta, this is likely not what he had in mind. Still, it is interesting to see that, with how many hours players have put intoOverwatch, there are still new glitches and bugs that haven’t been found before. Whether this is a sign of wear on the game or merely an issue with the game being updated so often with new content, at least this glitch is one of the less game-breaking ones. Hopefully a fix will be out soon so that players can continue working on their beach bod heroes.
