InMachinika Museum, Chapter 5 starts with a mysterious box showing up at your doorstep that you’ll need to break open to discover an alien object inside. Unlike inprevious chapters, you’ll uncover what looks to be an expensive piece of jewelry or mask, specifically with a red ruby in the center.
As usual, this unassuming object is holding a lot of secrets inside it. You’ll need to solve a few puzzles to learn more about this piece of jewelry and what it does. This guide will lead you through the entire chapter if you’re stuck at any point.
How to Open the Wooden Box in Machinika Museum Chapter 5
As you begin the prelude to Chapter 5, you’ll need to start byopening a wooden box. First, pick up the letter on the side of the box. On the back of the letter, there will be the number1359. Enter this into thepinpadon the front of the wooden box, and a drawer will open up at the bottom.
Open up the drawer, where it will be empty. However, if you push it backward, and check the back of the box, you’ll find a smallhidden note with the code ‘A7861’. Input this number onto the front keypad, and the front of the box will successfully open, showing the ruby necklace.
How to Complete Machinika Museum Chapter 5
Now, the ruby necklace will be placed on theanti-gravity machine you got fromMachinika Museum’s Chapter 2. Start by zooming in on the bottom of the necklace. Touch the golden piece sticking out of the side, where it will then fall off.Duplicate this metallic pieceusing your printer, and then place the two pieces on the missing spots on the side. Then, remove all four of the rectangular pieces on the left and right sides, so they are floating, as shown in the third image.
This will open up a middle piece at the bottom of the necklace, which you will want to pull open. Grab the key, and then go to the ruby center of the necklace. Open this up, andtwist the gray dialsupwards so you’re able to grab the red disc underneath. At the back of the necklace, zoom in on the top. Slide open the circular cap, and take out your screwdriver. Just like in Chapter 3 inthis advanced puzzle game, you will want to use the three dials on the screwdriver to swap the patterns and manipulate them to match the pattern on the necklace.
Start by swapping to thefirst pattern shown aboveusing the first dial, move it upwards using the second dial, and multiply it to three shapes using the third dial. Then, press theyellow buttonat the top of the screwdriver to reset it, and change to thesecond pattern in the second imageabove. Move it upwards using the second dial, and multiply it into three shapes using the third.
With these colored dials, you’ll want to twist them until there is acompletely open triangular shapeat the top, as shown above in the first image. You can just keep messing with the dials until they are properly placed in the correct order, and then drag the triangle down into the open slot. In the drawer that opens up underneath, grab the piece of stone inside.
Now, zoom in on the back of the necklace at the bottom. Place the piece of stone in the middle opening here. With the new pieces that appear, zoom in on the dark blue piece at the top. Click on it, and thenplace the red disc inside. Then, twist it, so the opening is facing the top. Now, take a look at the back of the necklace at the very bottom. You’ll notice the symbol shown in the third image above. Then, on the front of the necklace in the middle, you’ll notice the symbol shown in the fourth image. Input these symbols on the red dial area asshown in the fifth image.
Finally, take out thekeyyou obtained earlier and place it in the middle. Twist the dials on it according to thepattern in the first image above. Now, go to the back of what appears to be a mask. Go underneath the opening, and a short video will play of what happened to the person or alien wearing the mask. This will complete Chapter 5 ofMachinika Museumbefore you take on even more complicated puzzles inthis difficult mystery game.
