Flux comes in five color-coded forms: Cobalt (Blue), Crimson (Red), Fluorescent (Orange), Violet (Purple), and Yellowcake (Yellow). Crafting-wise, Fluxes are mainly used in Ultracite Ammo and Mutation Serums, but they’re also popular trading items.

The Scorched Earth Event aside, the only realistic way to farm Flux is bylaunching a nuke on a specific part of Appalachiaand harvesting the radiated plants that will grow there.
Each glowing Flora produces a specific type of Flux that is implied by its color. Players can use the following table to see which plant gives what:
Yellowcake
Blast Zones only last for three hours per server. With this in mind, players should farm as much Flux as possible in this time frame, or else the radiative Flora will despawn.
The Best Locations to Farm Flux in Fallout 76
Central Appalachia is the best place to farm Yellowcake and Fluorescent Flux, while the northern parts are the most lucrative locations for Cobalt and Violet Flux. For Crimson Flux, however, southwestern Appalachia is a better farming spot.
