Summary
Weapons, especiallyfirearms, can seem few and far between when playingDying Light 2.The game focuses so much onparkour, 3Dplatform-stylepuzzles, and map navigation, that combat becomes something of a secondary consideration. However, with patience, it is possible to find some decent weapons scattered throughout the game world.
Alongside the standard lineup of ranged, blunt, and bladed weapons, areseveral hidden Easter Egg weapons and items.None of them are overpowered, instead they are all something of a joke, but they are fun to collect and keep, even though some of them have very limited use. There is also a very useful hidden item that can be used to gain infinite durability for weapons.Easter Eggs are quite common in modern games, so it is no surprise to find some inDying Light 2.

Updated on August 30th, 2024, by Mac Wheeler:In order to make this list a little more useful, it has been expanded to include three additional items, which are considered Easter Eggs, but are not actual weapons. These are fun items that give the player extra abilities, such as being able to fly. Adding these three items gives Dying Light 2 players a complete list of all of the secret and special items in the game.
8Flying Broom
Be A Witch
Theflying broomis one of the most fun Easter Eggs inDying Light 2. By using it, the player can, well, fly. However, acquiring this item is going to take some jumping and climbing, starting from the very top of the VNC Tower, which means unlocking this area first.
The trick is to look down from the roof of the VNC Tower and locate the rooftop that has a crane on it. Then, use the glider to get to this rooftop, and climb up the crane. At the top of the crane are some blue mushrooms. By interacting with the mushrooms, the player can trigger a parkour challenge. However, it can take a fair few interactions with the mushrooms to trigger this challenge. The player is given the flying broomstick to help with the challenge, but they will lose it once they complete it. However, it can be used to explore hard-to-reach areas while the player has access to it. It’s a shame this isn’t a more permanent item.

7The Hover Board
Everyone Can Be Marty McFly
Anyone who has watched the classicBack To The Futuremovies will likely remember the scene where Marty McFly uses a hoverboard in a chase around the town square. It is likely thatthis hoverboardwas added toDying Light 2as a tribute to this scene.
This is a tricky item to acquire. The player first needs to gain access to the Central Loop area. There, they will take on a quest line called “Let’s Waltz.” There is a church in this area, named the Church of Saint Thomas Apostle. Inside is a puzzle which requires the player to make specific electrical connections. Then, if they climb up the tower and listen to Fatin and Tolga on the radio, once the broadcast is over, the hoverboard will appear.

6It’s Me… Marian! Shoes

TheIt’s Me… Marian! shoesare a lot of fun, and can actually be useful sometimes when trying to solve jumping puzzles inDying Light 2.They are also very easy to get hold of, so there is no reason not to grab them.
Players need to gain access to the Lower Dam Ayre region, and then locate the crane that has a large crate swinging from it. Climb the crane and look for the door in the side of the crate. This door is locked and needs to be picked to open it. Turn on the music player and sit down on the cushions. Listen until the end of the music, and a gift will appear. Wrapped in this gift are the It’s Me… Marian! jump shoes.

5United In Fun - Everyone Can Play
Throwable Soccer Ball Weapon
This Easter Egg weapon inDying Light 2is pretty whacky as far as items go. Once the player has completed the steps to obtain it, they will be given a blueprint that they can craft for 369 Scrap. They will then be the proud owner of a soccer ball.
Tracking down the location to collect this item is pretty easy. Once the player has unlocked the Trinity District, they can explore it and look for the Community Soccer Field in the northern part of the district. They will spot a soccer ball on the ground, near a set of goalposts.

The player will then need to score 9 goals by getting the football through the goalposts, and will have to leave the Trinity Zone between each goal. Upon scoring the final goal, a giant, dancing zombie will spawn. When players kill it, they will receive the blueprint for theUnited in Fun - Everyone Can PlayAccessory, which can be crafted for 369 Scrap. Tossing this item on the ground will summon a soccer ball, which can be kicked around the game world and bounced off of zombies
4Pan Of Destiny
Fry Up Some Unded
ThePan of Destinyis a throwable weapon that acts like a boomerang, as it always comes back. It does very little damage, though. It is purely a comedy item, as it isn’t at all useful while playing through the game. It is best left until after the campaign to collect, as this makes it simpler to acquire.
Towards the end of the main story arc, the player will come across a pretty big Water Pumping Station in the Newfound Lost Lands that is owned by the Renegade faction. The player must go inside and start searching for a wooden barricade that is hiding a room behind it. It is found on the uppermost floor of the complex, accessible only by climbing a series of ladders. Once players have gotten into this room, they should find the staircase and go up.

Eventually, they will come to a room that has an orange tent in it. Now look for the chicken coop in that room. The chicken inside it can speak. It gives the “Space Cock” side quest. Complete this quest by tracking down an electronics module, found in a unique car in the Southeast of the Sunken District. Return this item to the chicken, and it will give the player the blueprint for the Pan of Destiny, which can be crafted for 369 Scrap.
3Left Finger Of GloVa
Just Point And Fire
The oddly namedLeft Finger of gloVais pretty fun to use. It is basically afingergun version of a super shotgun, but it is of limited use, as it only has a 16-shot capacity and it cannot be reloaded once it is empty. That said, in a pinch, it can be helpful.
Getting this weapon can be frustrating, as unless the player has completed the “Broadcast” quest, they will face the tricky climb of reaching the top of the VNC Tower. A much easier way is to just complete the “Broadcast” mission and gain access to the elevator that goes up to the roof.

Once on the roof, the player needs to jump over to the smaller part of the roof that has the broadcasting antenna affixed. The player will find a green terminal with a wire they can remove. Next, go down two levels and fix the cable to the red terminal box found there. Repeat these steps with the cable from the green terminal on the same level and another red terminal two more floors down.
Now 4 levels down from the roof, the player should be able to locate a green terminal box with a number of cables going into it. They should pull all of these cables out and then drop down onto the veranda, which should be just below them, and look for a red terminal box. Then connect all the cables to this box, and press the red switch next to it. This will open a door for the player that was previously locked.

Now for the final, much easier part. Inside the room through the door is a bed. The player needs to rest on this bed and go to sleep. This will then cause the Techland poster on the wall to turn into a set of blueprints for the Left Finger of gloVa.
2Cyber Hands 2177
A Nod To Mantis Blades From Cyberpunk 2077
It must be said that theCyber Hands 2177are not a great weapon. They are an Easter Egg only, and based onMantis Blades fromCyberpunk 2077. Any player going after this weapon should understand that it will be for bragging rights only. The best time to find the Cyber Hands 2177 is at the same time as getting the Left Finger of gloVa, as both require heading to the roof of the VNC tower.
Once on the tower roof, head to the edge along the south wall, and find the glider. Now look for a roof close by that has an antenna on it, and use the glider to get to that roof. Ducts are headed upwards on that roof, and the player needs to climb them. Once they’ve climbed high enough, they can then glide to the next roof over.

On this final roof is an NPC named Liquidator. This NPC hands out the blueprint needed to craft the Cyber Hands 2177. The crafting cost is 369 Scrap.
1Weapon Durability Korek Charm
Grants Everlasting Weapons
Although not a weapon, theWeapon Durability Korek Charmis worth including on this list because it is useful for outright stopping a weapon from degrading over time. The best way to get this Charm is to look for it at the same time as the Left Finger of gloVa, as it is in the same room. Follow the steps in the section related to the Left Finger of gloVa to find this room.
Once in the room, look at all the cushions, and find the one that has a red lantern pattern on it, then sit on it. Now get up again, and move counterclockwise around the room, sitting on each of the other cushions in turn. Once completed, the blueprint for the Korek Charm will be on the coffee table in the middle of the room. It can be used on any weapon to restore500 durability, and it has infinite uses. A very useful item for sure.
