Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warstill has its issues, with split-screen problems, balancing issues, and a massive number of bugs still seen inside the game. The latest glitch found withinCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Waris truly ridiculous, however, as it is allowing players to fly through the sky.
The bug in question can only be seen in game modes where players can use parachutes, as the issue is tied directly to the mechanic. As such, the only modes where flying players can currently be seen are Fireteam Dirty Bomb, Multi-Team Hardpoint, and thequickly growing Zombies Outbreak. While the glitch is shown off on Alpine, it can likely be seen on other maps in these modes, too.

As shown by Redditor OhhZio, gamers trying to see the glitch in action need to be on the lookout for a ladder when they are falling from the sky. Once facing the ladder, they will want to break their parachute and fly toward it. The higherCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warplayersare when they begin plummeting toward the ladder, the more momentum they will have when “flying.” As shown in OhhZio’s clip, players that crash into the ladder from above will not die from the impact, as the ladder breaks their fall.
Once on the ladder, players can then climb to the top and jump off. With the game fooled into thinking that the player never actually landed, they will have the same speed and momentum that they did when they crashed into it. As a result, players can temporarily fly, moving through the air at a high speed until they land on solid ground. While this is hardly game breaking like otherCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warissues, some talented snipers are using the bug to pull off trick shots.
The player in OhhZio’s clip is one of these trick shotters, equippingthe LW3 Tundra Sniper Rifleas they fly through the sky. Bouncing off trees to keep their momentum, the player eventually gets launched into the air, performing a 360-degree spin before hitting the ground. However, right before they land, they manage to quick scope and kill a player aiming through a window in front of them. A truly absurd moment, Redditors like SovietNinjaz claimed this was the best clip they have “ever seen.”
While the glitch is easy enough to pull off, getting a kill like the one seen in the clip requires an incredible amount of luck and skill. As such, gamers do not need to worry about this bug ruining games — though a fix will likely come anyway whenCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold WarSeason 3launches.
