Summary

EA has dropped plenty of game, expansion, and stuff packs before, and they’ve recently dropped another forTheSims 4.The Home Chef Hustle Stuff Pack features new appliances, CAS items, and kitchen decor for players. Priced at $10, it isn’t a hefty buy, but it may be too niche for mostThe Sims 4players.

The entire stuff pack is oriented around the new cooking appliances. It offers the chance to run a side hustle and sell food on the street as a food vendor without needing theGet to Work expansion pack. While that can be exciting and enticing for players who aren’t interested in the other things the Get to Work expansion pack offers, it isn’t groundbreaking. Players are confined to foods that they could make and sell right there at the booth. While trying to sneak fresh food out into player inventories and selling them at the stall might work, it seems like an excessive workaround for a small feature like that.

The Sims 4 Home Chef Hustle Stuff Pack Create-a-Sim Items

The Sims 4Home Chef Hustle Stuff pack adds a solid amount of CAS items for players to use. From beanies to aprons to two new gloves, the little bit that EA has added isn’t poorly designed by any means. The stuff pack also includes the pizza earrings that the trailer for this pack had shown off. Even better, the pizza earrings come in two different forms: hoops and studs. Players who enjoy silly accessories like them will have a field day adding them into new outfits. The Sims 4Create-A-Simaspect of the game is many players' favorite, after all.

Another silly accessory that the pack adds are necklaces with a whisk charm and a matching earring set. There are two variants of the necklace, one a little smaller and one bigger. However, the shirts and aprons offered by the stuff pack aren’t much to look at. If a player had the choice between the aprons shown here orTheSims 4Custom Contentones, they aren’t likely to pick the pack.

The Sims 4 Home Chef Hustle Stuff Pack Build Items

The Sims 4Home Chef Hustle Stuff pack adds brand-new appliances for players to learn how to use. The Stand Mixer, Waffle Maker, and Countertop Stove Oven all stand to bring new content to the game. Players can use those last two appliances at the brand-new food stands the pack introduces to sell their creations to passing Sims. Both of them are portable and serve to make entrepreneurism a lot more exciting for those with the pack.

Beyond the new appliances, the stuff pack also brings in new furniture and decor for kitchens. New counters, a fridge, dishwasher, oven, and shelves have been added in with this DLC. However, they aren’t too far different fromThe Sims 4Cool Kitchen Stuff pack, which also added a new counter, fridge, and oven. While color schemes differ, these two packs include virtually the same items. The only big difference is that the Home Chef Hustle Stuff pack came with food stands.

Overall, the stuff pack can feel too niche for most players. There’s nothing inherently wrong with it, but with the similarity to the Cool Kitchen Stuff pack, it might not be many player’s first choice when looking at a stuff pack to buy. Luckily, there was aTheSims 4giveawaythat allowed players the chance to win the new Home Chef Hustle pack for those who were curious about it but not willing to dish out the $10.

The Sims 4is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S.
