WhileMarvel’s Avengersis very much set within its own universe, it is impossible for the franchise to escape the popularity of theMCU. As such, it is hardly a surprise that oneMarvel’s Avengersplayer has gone out of their way to pay homage to the beloved film franchise.
While Crystal Dynamics initially avoided includingMCUoutfitsin its game, as it wanted fans to connect with its own take on The Avengers, the demands from players eventually saw the developer caving in. Now, there are severalMCUoutfits available in the game, and given their popularity, more will likely come. Nameplates based on the Disney+ seriesHawkeyehave been included, too. However, it seems like these licensed items were not enough for SpirosOntic.

ThisMarvel’s Avengersplayerhas gone out of their way to recreate some of the most memorable shots from theMCUusing the game’s photo mode. One image sees Black Widow and The Hulk’s relationship adapted. While this romance was one of the more controversial aspects ofAvengers: Age of Ultron, the “sun’s getting real low” line has become rather memorable. The photo taker makes sure to get Black Widow and Hulk coming close together under a sunset, capturing the feel of the quote. Widow’s hand also appears to be on Hulk’s face, making it look like she is calming Banner down.
It seems like SpirosOntic is particularly fond ofthe secondAvengersfilm, as anotherAvengers: Age of Ultronscene is remade withinMarvel’s Avengers. This time, the player recreates the slow motion shot of all the heroes working together from the very start of the film. Thor can be seen charging up his hammer on the right, Iron Man is flying by, and Hulk is attacking on the left screen. Captain America is jumping in the air while Black Widow is mid-kick, and a nice touch sees Hawkeye wearing his attire from the film.
SpirosOntic is recreating moments from more than justAvengers: Age of Ultron, though. The iconic finale ofCaptain America: Civil Waris represented with a shot ofCaptain Americaand Iron Man fighting. In particular, the shot is an homage to Iron Man’s repulsors reflecting off Captain America’s shield - a sequence that was pulled directly from theCivil Warcomic book. With many loving this emotional fight and the film that it came from, it is fun to see it perfectly recreated within a video game.
With each post’s title also being a reference to a line from theMCU, the Redditor has done a stellar job of paying homage to the film franchise. With themultiverse recently introduced to theMCU, there will likely be many more memorable moments forMarvel’s Avengersplayers to recreate in the years to come.
