Two months have passed sinceMarvel’s Avengersupdate 2.6, and the development team was hard at work preparing for the release of update 2.6.Marvel’s Avengersupdate 2.7 releases on November 29 with new content and the arrival of the Winter Soldier. MODOK was revived, but the Avengers are unable to keep him under control for long. As a result, MODOK has taken control of AIM’s Cloning Lab, and the Avengers determined that he’s an Omega-Level Threat that must be dealt with before the world collapses. The Cloning Lab Omega-Level Threat will be an end-game challenge requiring a minimum power level of 175, so players should venture with their best heroes and gear to complete the mission. Once ready, players can take the Winter Soldier intothe fight against MODOKand earn high-level gear dropping at a max power level of 185.
Before attempting to fight MODOK, players may recruit theWinter Soldier inMarvel’s Avengersby completing his heroic mission chain to help him regain his confidence. The Winter Soldier is still dealing with trauma from his super-soldier treatment and captivity, but he will be a boon in the fight against MODOK. Moreover, players earn Bucky’s iconic outfit as an added bonus for completing his missions.
AlthoughSquare Enix wasn’t thrilled aboutMarvel’s Avengerssales, the game receives substantial support two years after launch. In fact,Marvel’s Avengersupdate 2.7 is one of the game’s largest updates to date with the Winter Soldier being one of the most anticipated additions to the hero roster. For those seeking challenging end-game content, the Cloning Lab Omega-Level Threat appears to be a worthy inclusion as well.
More updates are planned forMarvel’s Avengersafter update 2.7, but Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics remain vague on details about what will come next. Fans can expect more details about the Winter Soldier’s backstory and the Cloning Lab soon, however.
