Marvel’s Spider-Manhas just recently released its latest suit cosmetics based on this week’s release ofSpider-Man: No Way Home. BecauseSpider-Man: No Way Homeis wedged between the launches ofMarvel’s Spider-Manand theofficially announcedMarvel’s Spider-Man 2, it makes sense that these suits would be added as compounded DLC for the previous title since Insomniac has a penchant for suit cosmetic updates.

Unfortunately for PS4 users, however, theSpider-Man: No Way Homesuits areexclusive toMarvel’s Spider-Man Remasteredon PS5. But whileMarvel’s Spider-Manhas adapted suit cosmetics from theMarvel Cinematic Universe, Tom Holland has expressed recently at a promotional interview forSpider-Man: No Way Home’s press tour that the film has, in turn, adapted something from the game.

Paola Del Castillo’s interview with Tom Holland departs marginally from talking aboutSpider-Man: No Way Homewhen he is asked if he has played Insomniac’sMarvel’s Spider-Man. Sony apparently sent Holland a PS5 with which he could playMarvel’s Spider-ManonSpider-Man: No Way Home’s set, so it is likely he was playingMarvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. Holland praisesMarvel’s Spider-Man, and also interestingly shares that a specific move from the game was taken as direct inspiration and used for a scene in the film.

Holland does not state which move he refers to, nor does he narrow it down to a particular sequence. There are countless moves that could be drawn upon for inspiration betweenMarvel’s Spider-Man’s active combo finishers in combat, a web-swinging traversal animation, or a move utilized in a cinematic cutscene. Holland’s Spider-Man is set to tackle at least five villains in Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, Electro, Sandman, and the Lizard, so the potential for any such move to appear is endless while in these encounters.

If the leaks and rumors are indeed true, Holland may not be necessarily referring to his own Peter Parker when he says that Spider-Man does the move in the film. It is equally as possible that Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield may perform the move fromMarvel’s Spider-Maninstead of Holland, but only a week’s time will tell if that proves true or not.

Spider-Man: No Way Homeemploying a move fromMarvel’s Spider-Mandemonstrates the significant influence that Insomniac’s title has produced for the character, and if Holland is truly set for another trilogy ofMCUfilms from Sony, players may expect a lot more influential collaborations between the twowhenMarvel’s Spider-Man 2releases.

Marvel’s Spider-Manis available now on PS4 and PS5.
