The first season ofCall of Duty’s Modern Warfare 3 (2023)has arrived, bringing new weapons, operators, and of course in-game purchases to theCOD HQStore. What is BlackCell?
In addition to unlocking a seasonal Battle Pass, players can head over to theCOD HQStore andpurchase the BlackCell Pass for $29.99.Unlike the standard pass, players will not have the opportunity to spend accumulated COD Points and must invest the cash in order to gain access to these additional benefits,including a completely unique sector available only throughpurchasing the BlackCell Battle Pass.
Players are not paying 30 bucks simply for a sector worth of unique rewards - in addition to instantly unlocking the BlackCell Sectors 5 items, players willalso receive 1100 COD Points, 20 Battle Pass Tokens to spend instantly, and access to BlackCell weapon and operator skin variants,featuring unique camos and weapon stats.
For die-hard Call of Duty players, or collectors of the ingame skins, the BlackCell pass cannot be passed up. Players will receive over 20 additional rewards throughout the course of the battle pass,including 10 BlackCell Operator Skinsand 6 BlackCell Weapon Blueprints. When combined with the COD Points and other rewards provided in the BlackCell Sector on the Battle Pass,the total value of the BlackCell pass stretches over 7000 COD Points, roughly equivalent to $55 dollarsfor players based in the United States. For players already investing extra cash into Modern Warfare 3 to deck out their operator, the overallvalue of the BlackCell pass is immense for the $30 price point- especially if players are already considering buying $10-$20 worth of COD points to access the base Battle Pass.
How To Claim BlackCell Tokens
For players whosplurged for the Vault EditionofModern Warfare 3will finally be able to access the paid boosts available in the vault. With the Season 1 update,any players who have received a BlackCell token from the Vault Edition Upgrade will automatically unlock the BlackCell Operator Pass, gaining full access to the Battle Pass, all BlackCell variant rewards, and the BlackCell Sector.
Players will also receive a combinedtotal of 50 Battle Pass tokensto spend, allowing quick access to over half of the rewards available in the Battle Pass.Players can only store up to 50 tokens,so be sure to spend at least a token or two before jumping into a game otherwise players will not earn any progress toward another token.
