The two forebodingWorld of Warcraftcutscenes feature the threat and charisma of the Primal Incarnates and the danger they represent to Azeroth.

The two cutscenes can be found inWorld of Warcraftnow thatDragonflightSeason 1 has begun. The first cutscene takes place immediately before the Vault of the Incarnates raid, while the second takes place after players defeat its final boss, Raszageth the Storm-Eater.

In the first cutscene, Alexstrasza the Dragon Queen tries to empower the Mother Oathstone to restore the Aspects to their full power. Despite the five dragonflights’ Oathstones being functional, the Mother Oathstone refuses to activate. Raszageth appears to mock Alexstrasza for being unworthy before flying off to the Vault of the Incarnates to free her siblings and usher in the “Age of the Incarnates,” thus setting the stage forthe first raid inDragonflight.

The secondDragonflightcutscene begins with Khadgar and Kalecgos, who act as guides in the Vault of the Incarnates. They enter the scene and confirm Raszageth’s death before breathing a sigh of relief. Unfortunately, the prisons of the other three Primal Incarnates–Vyranoth the Frozenheart, Fyrakk the Blazing, and Iridikron the Stonescaled–were heavily damaged during the fight with Raszageth. The three break free of their prisons before swearing vengeance upon their sister’s killers and all who bow before the Titans. Khadgar and Kalecgos teleport away before they are obliterated by the three proto-dragons.

World of Warcraftplayers are intrigued by the story developments from the Vault of the Incarnates raid. Like thepreceding cutscenes inDragonflight, they are of impeccable quality and show off the animosity between Alexstrasza and Raszageth. In her short time in the spotlight, players enjoyed Raszageth for her compelling motives and excellent portrayal, and are eager to see how her older siblings hold up in comparison.

Other players are less impressed by the Vault of the Incarnates cutscenes. While well-made, the events from the cutscene were predictable to most players. Some are also worried another raid full of elemental proto-dragons might get old, and hopeWorld of Warcraftmixes up their adversaries to keep things fresh. Luckily,World of Warcraftis pretty good at avoiding fatigue from oversaturating raids with the same kinds of enemies. Though players don’t know exactly who orwhat they will face in futureDragonflightpatches, they can expectWorld of Warcraftto introduce plenty of twists before the end of the expansion.
